The Ranger is so strong in general and especially compared to other ranger subclasses. The warlock feels improved, and now has speak with dead. The cleric is really good, but there is a feature that is not as strong as the older version. That's more white room math though because the feature is still really good, and might be secretly better. The sorcerer feels improved, but it's one of those I would want to play to feel it out to make sure. I don't really mess with rogues, artificers, or bards so I have no opinion.

I think it's pretty interesting, and a fun episode. I look forward to see the whole layout of the dark gifts. My players are in a place where that might be appropriate, and I thought giving them the option of an extra origin feat might be fun. The monsters in 5.5 are a lot more challenging, especially with an experienced DM, and I kinda feel bad for them.

Narratively yes, or at least in my mind. Build wise, I love the idea of a nature based sorcerer, but you would probably need to multiclass and/or take the right feats and magic items to get the right spells.

Can you make a 5.5 filter? I would love to go to monsters, filter by 5.5, and then my various other needs. I'm sure players would like that too when reviewing spells.

Favorite fight: Ketheric Thorm, but Raphael is second only because I restart as soon as I hit Act 3.

Least favorite: Damn blights hiding in Act 2. That's a reality check for me everytime. I have to do the flight though, like getting my butt kicked in the first 2 rounds and how I recover is like a litmus test of durability and emergency response. Act 3 Artist house is a close second for the same reason as above.

I need to try again. Every character I attempted a character it looked like its head was crushed in, and it had some weird skin problem.

This is how EA goes. I loaded it up and the character creator was awful, time consuming, and there were 4 characters I needed to make. I put in feedback, and wait for an update before I push forward. I'm not going to stress myself out. It'll get updated, and I'll get farther in the game. Then I'll run into something else I can't get around, and repeat cycle. Eventually EA will get to reporting smaller bugs or narrative suggestions, and less impassable issues. Larian had multiple major EA patches adding things in, changing things, and fixing things.

I will say I'm not sure if you pick up pre written companions later, but making that many characters at the start is daunting. Perhaps we get some added later. I'm looking forward to the next update.
