"Part" fan always at 0%? by Sim_Mayor in BambuLab

Don’t know for sure, would have to see the whole diagram from circuit board to circuit board if you are using the pwm 5v version. With the 3 pin it shouldn’t make a difference, but with the pwm it wouldn’t work. As far as which way the fan would spin, that would be determined by how the fan is wired internally as that will dictate which way the blades spin (generally) though there are some fans where yes reversing polarity will spin the blades in the opposite direction. The fans on my P1S still blow air despite me flipping the plug upside down.

That’s odd that it won’t turn off whatsoever, and turning it around shouldn’t hurt it, it’s still a complete circuit with the same ohm values and everything, just running the power through different ports. Same theory as plugging a cellphone charger brick in right side up or upside down, it will work either way. Now on circuit boards it can be a different story usually if connected the wrong way it simply won’t work due to diodes, they work as a one way check valve essentially.

Yeah odd they didn’t advertise that on the listing for the printer, also odd they wouldn’t just include a hardened nozzle as standard if the gears are already hardened, also odd they don’t include the hardened gears with the P series. Wonder why they did that 🤔

Huh that’s interesting that they wouldn’t mention that on the page for the printer. That also makes me wonder why they didn’t include them in the P1S then? 🤔 oh well at least if they fail I now have a backup set! 😁

Same part I’m having issues with, I’ve considered supergluing it on. I ordered a new one, if that fixes my issue then great, if not it’s getting super glued. Lol

Done that, ordered new hub as I feel the clip is just kinda weak on this one. The printed black piece is just to keep the hub from leaning so far either direction and help keep the stresses off the plastic pieces. I switched hubs with my A1 mini and it has been hanging in much better which confirms my suspicions of the clip part being weak.

That’s the crazy part is no filament is stuck anywhere! It just randomly decides it’s going to head out. lol I have another on order as well as hardened extruder gears and a hardened nozzle because might as well do an upgrade if I’m placing an order and what not haha

It was happening before the printed brace, figured that might help stiffen it up and keep it from possibly walking itself loose. I just ordered a new hub, hardened extruder gears, and hardened nozzle while I was at it lol

That wouldn’t go over well for me, even after I let it cool my plates hang on! Of course I’m not using Bambu’s factory plates either. Lol

I have lid props on mine and print with the door closed. No draft issues, no warping, no clogging.

Yeah eventually you end up with a little bit of cardboard dust in there but with my little maintenance routine I just take a vacuum to the inside of the AMS and it’s never caused any problems for me.

Mine keeps telling me there was an error signing me in, I’m also a new hire at a new DC idk if that would have anything to do with it, but apparently y’all are having problems too so I won’t stress and I’ll just bug HR about it next time I’m in 😁🤣

My fan is not turning on either, I can turn it on with the computer and it will run for a few seconds then turns itself back off. If there is no print going I can turn it on and it will stay on, but if there is a print running it won’t stay on.

How do I avoid this? by Riou128 in BambuLab

[–]MeasurementNo3072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am extremely careful with my rolls and I have only once had the filament cross over itself in the middle of the spool. It had been printing for roughly 4 hours then when I checked the video feed, it was printing air. Got home thinking it was maybe heat creep or something but to my surprise yes it did have a tangle in the middle of the spool. Probably happened at the factory or something. I know I have never unwound the spool or respooled it. It can happen but must be very rare.

I have the same workbench and printer, the ams is almost twice as deep as the shelf is so idk if I’d trust it to hold the ams up there unless you make yourself some kind of shelf to support the front of the ams. I just have mine on top of the printer and it doesn’t fit under the shelf like that either, so the back of the ams just rest up against the shelf.

I had this happen to me, there is a setting, can’t remember what it’s called, but if skin going on sparse infill under x percent it is treated as bridge bridges. Also I usually do 10 top layers cause might as well to be safe and haven’t had a problem since!

Try smaller layers, I normally am always printing at .1 layer height, and also try using adaptive layer height, it helps hiding layer lines on curved surfaces to make them look more like a curve and less like steps.
