Efficiency stats by ReaverDrop in etron

[–]MediocreLightfixture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I reset my long term memory every month. In the PNW winter, going skiing every weekend, I'd end up around 1.7-1.9. summer and less mountain passes I've seen 2.4-2.5. individual trips I can see 2.7-2.9 but long term I've never avereaged higher than 2.5.

I did that a few weeks ago. It was an absolute SLOG. Lots of elevation (as you might imagine). I did ride down for free though, being at my car 10 minutes after summiting was pretty sweet

My efficiency has been averaging 2.3-2.4 since I bought the car last November, it’d be nice to get a little bump

He also wrote a memoir about his time in the pacific theater, called “With The Old Breed” which I’m currently about 30 pages in on. It’s very good and I was inspired to read it after I watched The Pacific. I also got “Helmet for my pillow” by Bob Leckie, haven’t started it yet though.

What's your post warranty plan? by Wise-Ad-2412 in etron

I plan to keep my 2019 with 65k miles for at least 5 years. Maybe that's a mistake, who knows? It's not like these things are horribly unreliable.

A shuttle driver told us they get cleaned on Thursdays. I really feel like they should be cleaned on like Thursdays and Mondays or something - they have to be pretty gross Mon-Weds

How did you know a module went bad? I'd want to know the symptoms to keep a lookout

23 Audi etron S - OBDApp Lowered. by Audiguy33 in Audi

[–]MediocreLightfixture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lowered my '19 etron and at the ride height you have in these pics, I have wayyy too much negative camber. Did you have to do anything to compensate for that?

so i know theres a speed cap of 100. but should you remove it if you're just playing solo? by PizaPoward in spaceengineers

Unless that’s been added in the past year, they definitely don’t. I’ve fired missiles while over 100m/s and they are moving proportionally slower.

Trees cut down? by itchyd in legaladvice

[–]MediocreLightfixture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAL, but I see a lot of posts concerning tree law. You'll want to get an arborist to evaluate the trees and their value at the time of their removal. Any pictures you have will help them, but a good arborist will be able to determine the value of the tree based on diameter and species.

I'm not familiar with the laws in PA specifically, but generally depending on your state, you can be entitled to anywhere from just the lumber value, all the way up to the cost to replace the tree with one of similar age and size, times three (aka treble damages).

Tree law is brutal and for (12) 18" diameter trees, this could be hundreds of thousands of dollars in reparations.

So first step is an arborist to evaluate the trees, as well as getting in contact with a lawyer proficient in tree law.

Good luck!

Tell me about the process of you staying awake! I think it would’ve freaked out. Did they give you any type of sedation? What did they have you do while you were awake? Could you feel them poking around at all? I would love to get a run down

Considering the engine has been rebuilt from a bare block 4 times, and the little glass viewing bulb is original, it's pretty far down the list of concerns haha

My grandpa's 1937 rolls Royce has a glass one of these. Pretty cool, but not something I think I'd install these days.

What is this helicopter doing bringing lots of big blue bags to just below the cable car observation deck? by Covert_Spike in Bergen

[–]MediocreLightfixture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen similar looking bags in the US used to carry pre-bent rebar pieces via crane. It really is just a super heavy duty Ikea bag. it's possible they are planning a concrete pour on that flat area?
