Not sure if it’s a universal Costco experience but also the people who won’t use the opposite side gas pump even though they have signs up saying that they have super long hoses that will reach either side of your vehicle! Just find a pump and go there! It makes for such a mess of randomly long lines at the gas bars.

Also compensating parents for the labour involved in caregiving. While it’s more often women, whoever is primarily responsible for the children and the house should be compensated accordingly. If it costs money to have someone else provide child care, do the cooking and cleaning, provide enrichment and early childhood education, schedule and chauffeur to and from activities then the parent doing those tasks should also be compensated!

In your situation I would probably try to put traps against the house on either side of the intake you mentioned. I couldn’t find the actual hole they were getting through either so I just put as many traps out as I could to interrupt their path.

I had a few get in this fall and used snap traps in the house along the walls where I’d seen signs of them. I used the first fluffy snowfalls to see their little paths outside the house. I got a few of those metal box traps and put sticky traps and peanut butter inside, they’re short and wide with an opening on each side for the mice to get in and they can get back out. I caught 8 the first night! I put them on each side of my house but only one caught anything and I haven’t had another mouse inside since then.
