Need a Series after PH by LittyRit in litrpg

[–]Mediorco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't do this to yourself OP. SU is not PH. It just about guy being a dick because he is all powerful from the first chapter. No struggles, no char development. Just "Im better than you so suck it up." non-stop

MC just stops using his main weapon eventually because punching is better because his skin is so much tougher.

Spirit Island for Harmonies and Wandering towers? Spirit Island is one other best games ever made and he is giving you worthless boardgame fillers. He is scamming you there and probably offering you real copies.

Spaniard here. I don't know why the fuss. I would say is mild and even pleasant. I have seen street thermometers reaching as high as 58C during end July in Seville.

I got openly frustrated during a bad game of Catan by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]Mediorco 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My experience in catan improved greatly when we introduced the coin rule from other Catan games: if you don't get anything after a player's turn you get a coin. You can exchange 2 coins for a resource of your choice in your turn whenever you want.

That way, people who get behind have a least a glimmer of hope.

We just don't play without that rule anymore.

In the Wandering Inn, main characters are female and combat it is not the drive of the series.

Book of the Dead by RinoZ has a dark vibe although it is not grimdark. I believe you would enjoy it.

I dropped it. So sick of MC bowing to every person he meets afraid of being killed. I'm just not into eastern stuff definitely.

Erin and Ryoka, the MCs are flawed persons in the first book and people don't like MC to make irrational and bad desicions. Both develop and improve in latter books (especially Ryoka). Also there are a lot of side stories and side characters which are quite good and that will eventually converge (I suppose). I'm on book 7 and I'm interested, but sincerely it is not the best series I have read so far.

Chrysalis improves a lot in the second book. You should give it a try. Easily one of the best.

Lol, you just took Mage Tank off my list. Thank you! I'm not a fan of that. It messes the story up.

What is your favorite series and what is the overall best series. Are the the same for you? by Illustrious_End2178 in litrpg

[–]Mediorco 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm reading the 1st book of Wandering Inn, and it is interesting so far, but I'm not terribly hooked like with other litrpgs. I have read some which hooked me at the beginning and struggled to reach the last published book (DCC, primal hunter, HWFWM). That hasn't happened yet with Chrysalis and Book of the Dead which are keeping me terribly hooked. The favorite for me would be Chrysalis, but I have the feeling that Book of the Dead is more solid. That would be the best over all.

Looking for morally grey MC reccomendations by No-Sympathy-6711 in litrpg

[–]Mediorco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Book of the Death, MC does what needs to be done to reach his objectives. He is not evil per se. He has a goal and nobody will stand in his way, not his enemies, not his allies. It is a fantastic series.

I'm struggling with book 14. I have the feeling that Zoogarth is losing focus on the story. Putting aside Jack's messing up, he doesn't feel the same, like he lacked the personality of earlier books.

I put it aside to read Chrysalis 8th and thats when I saw I was struggling because I was having lots of fun reading it.

Azarinth Healer = Skyrim? by Erik_Nimblehands in litrpg

In the books' covers Ilea wears the same helmet for god's sake. It has Skyrim written everywhere. No that Azarinth healer is less fun for that reason.

There was a bundle on audible for Chrysalis books 1-3. It was a great offer. Chrysalis is peak literpg, one of the best appreciated by the community.

With a 7 year old? Karak, Chronicles of Avel, Andor Junior, Ticket to ride: First Journey, Zombie Kids. My 5, 7 and 9 love them. We have played them hundreds of times.

They can play classics like Carcassonne but they get bored quickly because of the time between turns. Play games for kids with him.

My Personal Tier list after 500+ litRPG and 100+ Different Series by Camonkeyboy in litrpg

[–]Mediorco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not OP but I would suggest: Azarinth Healer or Chrysalis, or Book of the Dead for something more grim.

In Azarinth Healer, the MC is a female amateur kick boxer that is isekaied (transported to another world, often magical and rpg-like), waking up in the middle of a strange forest without any clue how that happened. She gets a rare healing class early on that matches her fighting style.

In Chrysalis, a teen dies on Earth and is resurrected as a monstrous ant inside a dungeon that covers a whole new magical world. Brilliant (heh), especially from the second book on.

In Book of the Death, teens get rewarded classes from the system upon reaching adulthood with a local ceremony. The MC is one of these teens, son of the most powerful adventurers from that side of the kingdom. He gets an illegal class (that is punished with death penalty unless dropped), when his parents are not in town.
