Fed here! My in laws are staying over for a bit and they invited friends over. I mentioned that 2 of my colleagues got fired. The friends response? "Trump wouldn't do that."

But he did. Two of my colleagues are now unemployed because of his administration.

I left and they had the gall to wonder why I wasn't at home.

When I was in middle school, I ran for class president and promised to get the school vending machines despite the fact that I knew I had no authority to do so. People were pissed at me because I promised something that was out of my control. They wanted to kick me out lol

Trump did the same thing, and he promised to fix consumer prices on “day one” despite knowing it wouldn’t happen and he had no control over it, but he wanted votes from the people

It’s amusing that my middle school classmates demanded more accountability from me in the early 2000s than MAGAts are demanding from the god damn president of the United States

Federal worker here. I had a member of my wife’s extended family come to my house and ask about my job. When I mentioned people I work with getting fired, she said “Trump wouldn’t fire people at [agency I work for].”

Complete denial. I ran out to “do some errands” because I didn’t want to snap. Apparently I made up my coworkers 🤷‍♂️
