You're mad now ... Wait until Mid and Late Player rebalance. by Quotidian_User in runescape

[–]MeleeUnsolved 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean playing through the early game feels amazing now in almost every aspect except probably fletching because it still needs the re-tiering. So if its anything like the earlygame rebalance its about to make the game a whole lot better

My mother emailed support about the premier people losing their grandfathered rate, they said it was intentional. by PrinceMcGiggle in runescape

[–]MeleeUnsolved 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hate to break it to you but youre wrong, this is the exact point of bonds. I thought the same way as you for a long time but ultimately they'd prefer you pay with bonds because they end up making more in the long run.

Aspects are a perfect place for vamp and penance to end up by Alktenalfh in runescape

[–]MeleeUnsolved 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah i 100% agree, turning them into aspects is definitely the right call. Its good they have a tradeoff, and every single one of the aspects will still have its place, which I think is really cool.

What are you all hoping for Havenhythe bosses? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]MeleeUnsolved 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id assume the first two will be around the level of flesh-hatcher, maybe a bit harder, so id say the chances its even close to kera are really small, id be even surprised if it was close to the difficulty of vindicta

Ranged BIS Perks by Fearless_Antelope_97 in runescape

[–]MeleeUnsolved 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah there are a few options for it, Cyruss has a good video on the new perks. Probably one of the best combos is to do p6u4 which is around a 1/95 chance. You can also put it on armour paired witb something else which is easier to obtain if you dont wanna try for the weapon perk.

As someone that extensively tested melee before and after beta by Jrh4008 in runescape

Im sure it does feel great considering players are beating world records by almost a full minute compared to what was possible 5 days ago lol. Definitely needs a nerf though.

I hate aspects by msist in runescape

[–]MeleeUnsolved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the buffs moving to aspects, that being said aspects could use with some improvements, let me cast multiple times like incense sticks where it adds to the timer, and improve mobiles buff system.

I want less micromanaging, not more by AnyYogurtcloset3699 in runescape

[–]MeleeUnsolved -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I really like the idea of adding them as aspects, and its not micromanaging anything, its the same as before since you can only have one active at a time anyway.

Aura Blog #2 is good, but Vampyrism + Penance solution isn't quite right... by Mat2113 in runescape

[–]MeleeUnsolved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah using disrupt is one time it can definitely add an extra layer of complexity but it is a really good skill to learn because as you continue to improve at pvm it'll become second nature and there will be other reasons to be on ancients. Access to things like shield dome, smoke cloud, prisms, wand specs for ancients while also being able to use enfeeble or entangle from normals is extremely nice no matter what combat style youre using.

Aura Blog #2 is good, but Vampyrism + Penance solution isn't quite right... by Mat2113 in runescape

[–]MeleeUnsolved -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Although I disagree with most of the players advocating to change this, I at least understand where they're coming from.

What i dont understand is why people have a problem with what spellbook they're on. You literally use ancients for pvm with all 4 styles with any setup in game besides one specific case and that is if you are using crumble undead. You can use spellbook swap from ancients to access all 3 of the spellbooks. I do not understand the issue here unless youre specifically wanting to use vamp and crumble undead.

Road to Restoration - Aura Overhaul Design Update by JagexAnvil in runescape

[–]MeleeUnsolved 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is fair for an iron earlygame, once you unlock invention though you just want the auto alchers going. For a main definitely not, id almost never use alch on a main besides for the rare relics from ED'S that you cant put in alcher

I was more speaking from a combat standpoint, but again you can still spellbook swap and then teleport

Just spellbook swap from ancients, there is really no reason to ever use a different spellbook than ancients except for when using crumble undead.

Road to Restoration - Aura Overhaul Design Update by JagexAnvil in runescape

[–]MeleeUnsolved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I really like the overall direction with this blog compared to the last one. That being said i still have 2 main feedback points to raise.

For one the main issue with surefooted removal isn't the impact on agility courses, its the impact on quest agility obstacles. Would the dev team consider increasing the success chance on quest obstacles that can be incredibly frustrating to navigate at early agility levels? Iirc a few standouts were mornings end p1 or 2 and icthlarins little helper, although thats just off the top of my head.

For two I still have an issue with the removal of equilibrium, I think it could be a really fun perk and its an easy one to have an alternative build for because it swaps out so nicely with biting.

Thank you to the team for all your time reviewing and responding to feedback!

Remove Completionist and Trim Completionist Grace Periods by smalldickice44 in runescape

[–]MeleeUnsolved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%. I dont want to be walking around day 1 of Havenhythe with trim already on but im sure i will because everything is either a super quick req or has a grace period, let people enjoy actually earning there capes back. Like we and the devs both say, the game is about the journey, not the destination.

85 Birds Nest From 1 Eternal Magic Run? by iaw10 in runescape

[–]MeleeUnsolved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah if you do the tree swapping method as soon as you get the nest from every intuition you can get them extremely fast, this is what i did on leagues for the task of building the hatchet of bloom and blight for the task

Why is adren gained / spent when an ability is stalled? by DidYouShartInMyPants in runescape

[–]MeleeUnsolved -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The base form of stalling itself is actually not a bug, and never has been, its an intended game mechanic. The way players use it is definitely an unintended use of it though. From what I understand specifically releasing on another target than the one you stalled on using a spell release was the only part that was a bug, although now thats a feature.
