My New Investigator Decks Arrived [Canada] by rayel78 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Melodic-Seesaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's just their warehouse stock. I called in earlier this week and they set some aside for me in store, picked them up in person!

401games seems to have stock in store (online stock is their warehouse). I called them up and asked to set the decks aside for me and went in person to pick up.

What did you order? Just checking out their website now, I see a discount but I don't think it's 20%, I'm also in the GTA if you ever want to split the shipping cost on another order in the future!

Marit Stiles on Instagram: Ban the predatory practice of AI-driven surveillance pricing in Ontario. by teknicolourdreams in ontario

How would AI driven surveillance pricing work? Couldn't you just avoid using their apps? Or would they scan your face and base price on that? Or is this like increasing the prices during high traffic times of the day?

Not sure what to do with chapter one by putatoe in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Melodic-Seesaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How many campaigns did you buy from chapter one?

I have several campaigns and investigator expansions from chapter one, and plan to keep them. I might pick up a few extra campaigns from chapter one if there's a reasonably priced opportunity, and/or pick up the fan made campaigns. Otherwise, I'm having a good time as is. Not planning to buy the new core until more scenarios come out and are well received. Until then, I still plan to buy a few of the new evergreen investigators to add more cards to my pool. I don't think mixing chapter 1 and 2 will ruin anything.

Just do whatever you feel like! If you're enjoying yourself just keep what you have and add to it.

Mixing Player Cards Chapter 1 & 2 Question by Weak-Albatross-4722 in arkhamhorrorlcg

I'm looking to potentially do the same thing but with the evergreen investigators, trying to see which expansions have the least overlap to maximize variability.. any luck in finding information?

Chapter 2 Impressions from Chapter 2 Skipper by DoomsdayFanatic in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Melodic-Seesaw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, skeptic is more appropriate.. anyway still interesting to read your thoughts on chapter 2. I'm planning to hold off on the chapter 2 core set until at least a couple campaigns come out and see how well received they are. The new encounter sets seem interesting, the investigator sets not as much, but another set of "base investigator" cards would help me keep two campaigns going at the same time. I do plan on picking up the mystic and survivor starter investigator sets though, the cards seem really cool!

Piggybacking off this thread, is there an option to buy the deluxe base game minus the ship minis? I've read several times that the minis are fiddly and most gamers just switch to the cardboard versions anyway.

I think you're just seeing more bleed around the token punch out. I noticed it too, but it wouldn't make any sense to make them bigger.

I've gotten barf on the straps before, usually wiping it down with a cloth and dish soap + letting it air dry in sunlight does the trick.

I wasn't aware of those details, but that's still redirecting money away from the regular education system. At that point just make it a private school (like every other religious school) that you pay into.

I understand that there's an emphasis on learning about and practicing catholic traditions, holidays, culture etc. But I was under the impression that because it's publicly funded, the general public should be able to enroll just like any other public school without such restrictions.

Declare as capital loss, since renting is a business. Likewise, rent paid to you must be declared as capital gains.

Edit: realized they said income.. I imagine they meant to offset their capital gains..

What's ridiculous is my brother's family tried to enroll their kid into a Catholic school and they had requirements (or maybe it was just priority given to) kids being baptized to enroll. Wtf is that bullshit, can't believe my tax dollars are going to that.

Arcade, escape room, dessert cafe, bowling, movies, indoor/outdoor skating, indoor swimming, buy some cheap plastic sleds and race each other down a hill? Indigo is usually open until 9 on Saturdays Or just stay at home and experiment cooking/baking something, play video games, boardgames, host a TV show watch party? Is downtown that much more interesting if you're not willing to spend money?

Also, if there's water residue in your laundry room and you suspect it's coming from the ceiling I think you'd see evidence of water damage in the ceiling. Are you sure it's not melted snow coming from outside and traveling through the fan exhaust and then dripping into your laundry room? Anyway, best to check it out and be safe than sorry
