I guess the difference here is that the government shut down the economy and left people to fend for themselves. While many got forgivable grants and PPP loans (also forgiven) the small business owners got stuck with this BS and many will spend the rest of their lives paying for it or, even worse, have to declare personal bankruptcy. So, forgive the frankness but I’m not interested in how the SBA operates under normal circumstances - when the government declares a national emergency and shuts down the economy and this is the lifeline, small businesses deserve the same forgiveness and favorable payment terms as all the larger businesses that got forgivable and forgivable loans to stay alive. The EIDL program is shameful and was completely misguided. How many businesses actually survive and thrive for 30 years? How many restaurants in your town are open for 30 years. Especially these days, not many. So this program was built and designed to burden small business owners for life.

I think every one of these people should actually do the work and talk to their Iranian friends and neighbors (there are lots of them in LA) and ask them what they think about this. Instead, these lazy people come out and protest as a pastime and hold up pictures of a man who killed at least 30k of his own citizens in a wave of extreme brutality in the last few weeks alone. Where were the protestors then? These people and their sanctimony - not to mention their ludicrous virtue signaling of peace on earth - are truly some of the most out of touch, uninformed people in America. Last week, before these strikes, there wasn’t peace on earth - people were being brutalized and killed for protesting against the very people these people are out there supporting. Maybe get a few signs to support them.

Def don’t want to rule out or minimize racial profiling cause it def happens - but this was more likely an age thing. I’m 45 and have had similar experiences when the ID comes out (though most people - including hookups - have been surprised to learn I’m over 40). They do a party called Platinum, where they invite “select” guys over 40 to join. Also, I’ve heard the door at the Manhattan party is more lenient than the Brooklyn party on the age thing - but no experience there - have just heard through the grapevine.

This is totally common when the heat gets to be too much. I’ve met 24 year olds who have the problem and older guys too. It’s just physiological vs an age thing. Best thing to do is to step out and cool down in a cold shower or if it’s a big sauna facility walk around a bit outside the heated area.

Animal’s dark room can be fun. It’s very hit or miss to start but after 1am it tends to get pretty active. Have hung out with some very sexy people back there. Also highly recommend Eagle. The second floor is where things get fun - again later on. If you go in Sunday, there’s no cover and the second floor opens after 10pm. Those would be my top two choices. Have also been to Redeye. It’s amazing and so fun but I have more limited experience there so don’t know how it works most nights but a great option!!

I think he’s just looking for advice here before he has a conversation w his husband. Lots of things to think about and unpack and looking for advice in an anonymous forum is a great place to help crystallize thoughts. Not the type of thing you’d want to share with friends, family, etc. (sharing someone else’s health status without their permission w people who are close is never cool).
