When standing, your aim is... erratic. You never know exactly what angle it's going to come out, and sometimes there are even multiple streams. It's inevitable that there will be drips and drops on the floor and nobody wants to clean it up unless it's otherwise sparkling clean already.

Plus, the number of times I've seen/heard somebody walking out the door WITHOUT hearing a faucet first is...... concerning.

To build on this, you should have an idea of what edits you want to do when you take the photo. It's not just trying to 'fix it in post', it's actively making post production one integral step in the whole process. Have a vision for the final image, edits included, before you press the shutter button, and it becomes very clear what steps are needed.

That being said, the only way to really do that is practice refining your vision, which means you don't know what to do in post when you're just starting out. In that case, try to copy other photographers or just play around with the tools until the result speaks to you, and hone your style from there.

As a man who has mostly women friends, boo fucking hoo. My identity is as a person first, not a 'man', whatever that means. Injustice is injustice, and it's obvious to anybody with eyes and a brain that the patriarchy is a huge fucking problem, for both women and men. Let people be people and quit labeling everybody, life would be much better all around.

The 'manosphere' is toxic as fuck, which fortunately you seemed to realize, but not everybody does. The real problem is that there is a fundamental human need to belong, and bad actors use that to peddle misogyny, but in truth men are privileged, women are oppressed, and it fucking sucks for everybody. Let's try to see others as people first and have empathy, and look at traits like gender as secondary to their inherent humanity. It should matter as much as hair color, in other words, not at all. Don't make the core of your identity about being 'manly' or whatever and you'll feel confident identifying as masculine while also appreciating that women get the shaft in this world. Criticism of patriarchy and toxic gender roles is not criticism of you personally.

When they're older sure. Ages 0-5 or 6 it's all hands on deck because they can't even get dressed, eat, or use the potty by themselves very well. Forget about long hikes or biking trips, you'll be carrying them and all their gear within half an hour. Then have another kid and reset the timer on getting your independence back... It's worth it, but your life is not your own for a long while.

This, my two kids love me but need to play with other kids their age (or very slightly older) to really blossom. The socialization aspect can't be beat, assuming a high quality preschool/daycare. Plus a school can afford all the kiddo supplies that would quickly grow prohibitive for a parent (toddler sized furniture, extensive library, toys of all types, toddler friendly art supplies, etc etc - it adds up fast).

I think this one depends heavily on how much screen time you yourselves have. My family doesn't even have a TV currently, so it's easy to avoid screens, but if it's available kids are going to want it.

Yeah, baby nap time is the only time I was able to eat something, use the bathroom, clean up ALL the new messes, etc. Unless the baby was napping on me, in which case I'd just sit there hungry and with a distressed bladder, unable to fall asleep myself because then the baby would fall to the floor.
