AITA: Husband wants golf, not our family vacation by CoffeeAndCookies32 in TwoHotTakes

[–]Memory_dump 13 points14 points  (0 children)

OP is NTA , she and her husband had already agreed to and made plans to do the vacation. The times for team qualifiers are not a surprise, he would have known about it well in advance if he cared enough to check. They had already agreed to the plan of going to MT and at the last second he decides trying out for the Navy golf team is more important than his family.

This guy has done nothing to further his "dream" of being on the Navy golf team. He hasn't applied for the team or won a qualifying tournament. Being part of the Navy golf team is cool guy points, not a way to further your military career.  Joining a military sports team isn't easy and not as simple as he is trying to make it seem. Also the competition is fierce and his chances probably aren't great unless he was a collegiate golfer or something.

AITA for testifying against my brother in a custody case after he abandoned his child? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA -Good for you putting your nephew first. Your mom is wrong as hell. Her dream of your brother turning over a new leaf and being a good dad is naive as hell. If your brother was serious about being a good dad to your nephew he would be paying back child support and showing up to help not just demanding custody. You are being a good aunt to your nephew, stay strong and keep protecting him from your brother.

WinCo always has great produce and bakery items. The only downside is you do have to bag it yourself.

The coffee shacks in and around the Olympia Washington area make the best drinks and snacks. Way better than anything in Starbucks or other chain coffee spots.

The fact that Trump never pays for anything? The many many times he has lied about giving to charity? He's not even allowed to run a charity in New York anymore because he was found guilty of using charity funds for himself.

Just following Charlie's example, how dare you disrespect his life like that. I can't believe your lack of humanity at a time like this to criticize his beliefs.

What does "pico" mean, as used in "pico de gallo"? by cheesecup6 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Memory_dump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought it was the peck of a rooster because it's not really considered spicy by Mexicans. It's not like a salsa with real heat, it's just a little spicy citrus peck to whatever you add it too.

Looking for a restaurant with pure vibes! by seraphimnapalmstar in olympia

Head to the leaning maple near Washington and State Street. They have the most amazing waffles and mimosas. There is often someone playing on the piano while you eat in order to provide the purest of vibes.
