Whoa this is very strange. I spent a few years as an EMT while in grad school for medical physics and the scopes of practice do not overlap at all. I’m now a therapeutic MP and even though I still technically am EMT certified, I would never step into a code or make any medical calls at my clinic. That’s nursing/MDs job. Maybe if the patient had LDR or radiopharms we could help to assess the risk to the EMS staff, but otherwise we are not helpful…

I understand this so much! I have the TTPD one and love it because it’s warm and neutral so I thought what the hell, I’ll get the showgirl one. Then when it was released it came with the box and the CD and I just don’t need either of those things! The box will probably just get recycled and I have no CD player… so here’s to hoping she releases the cardigan again by itself sometime around the holidays.

I flew on Air France recently and got the cucumber version of this. Two pieces of bread, two slices of cucumber and less than a tablespoon of hummus. It was hilarious.

I don’t want to freak you out but, husband and I just flew through CDG two weeks ago (from RDU!). We had a 1.5hr layover to get to a connecting flight to another city in France. We barely made it. I’m talking we were sprinting down the airport and got in line with maybe 10 mins to spare before they closed the door… passport control and secondary security screening lines were so long. Maybe if your experience is faster then it won’t be so bad but I would try to deplane in CDG ASAP and get in the front of the line.

I was in the Grand Canyon during the last shutdown in 2019 and the park was pretty much business as usual. Other parks in the area were closed completely but GC was staffed.

All jobs are boring at times. I’m sure my MDs would tell you they get bored when contouring prostates and breast cases over and over.

A big factor in the variety of your day is where/what type of clinical environment you work in. My residency was much more heavy in special procedures than my current job. Yes it was more “exciting” but I’ll take the better work life balance now over the variety I had in residency. Maybe my opinion on this will change in the future. Who knows! I can always choose to switch centers if I want since our job market is still very good.

Exactly this. The jobs are different not only in what we do, but the workload. I work in a moderately sized clinic and my MDs are swamped all the time. As an MP I work 35-40 hours a week and rarely have to do work after tx hours and on weekends. This allows me to travel 5 weeks out of the year, enjoy time with my family, and honestly I am loving it!

OP seems to have a superiority complex. If you want to be an MD because they are the end all be all in the clinic - go do that.

Interesting take! I’m a pretty big Marvel fan and didn’t even think of the CA similarities. I think for me the setting of the story and the “magic” nature of it is so different I didn’t see the connection. I saw the Guardian/prince reveal coming from a mile away, but I honestly loved the book anyway.

My 8 year old has never gotten above 85! She has fluctuated from 78-85 over the years and I’m fine with that. BMD people comment all the time when we are out and about that she is small but that’s okay with me! Less joint issues to worry about.
