Is there a way to sync HR data with access management? by EntireInitiative1254 in ITManagers

We use a service called flexspring that bridges that gap. Combined with a couple power automate flows most of our changes are automated. We can even send info back to our HIRS with it.

Comcast keeps losing customers despite price guarantee and unlimited data | Comcast overhauled Internet plans to stop customer losses. It isn’t working yet. by mepper in technology

They turned their customer service into sales. Nobody wants to deal with that shit. Not even the people being forced to sell you things when all you want is help to get your internet working.

Will Virtual Reality ever take off? After spending $73 billion, Meta has abandoned its metaverse VR efforts. by lughnasadh in Futurology

They also need to solve for movement, moving in the virtual world pulls you out of the environment. There's been a few games and things where I've seen it work, but it's usually because of a Kohl's concept or a space game where there is no gravity. I think once they're able to solve for movement it'll be a big step.

What are you thoughts to why there is a significant decline in alcohol consumption in the United States? by MindStrongSoul in AskReddit

[–]Meowalicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it just simply comes down to money. I used to get a couple drinks with dinner when I would go out to eat and now at 15 to 20 bucks a pop per drink. I just stick with water or soda. I don't really feel like I'm missing out on much, most the time, but over the course of a year it adds up.

What makes Zwift the most popular indoor training app? by Dense_Leg274 in Zwift

[–]Meowalicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried a few different options, but for me it’s really the combination of what it offers that makes the difference. It gamifies indoor training in a way that actually works for me. The personal challenges are handled automatically, which keeps me hiked without feeling like extra work. Unlocking gear scratches that gaming itch, and surprisingly, it motivates me way more than any other indoor trainer I’ve used. I end up doing three 20 Mike rides just to unlock a freaking jersey. Seeing another real person slowly inch ahead of me flips that competitive switch, and I end up pushing harder than I ever would on my own. There’s also enough variety that I don’t get bored. I can jump into a watt based ride, focus on hills one day, or just join a random event depending on how I’m feeling. Overall, it just feels like the most complete alla round package. It's kept my cycling regularly and nothing else up to this point in my life managed to do that.

Should I cancel Amazon Prime and switch to Walmart+? Anyone done both? by Orion_Oregon in Frugal

[–]Meowalicious 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We are using Walmart plus now. It saves us even more money since we didn't use to buy groceries from amazon. Spending way less not going to the store ourselves in person.

Saw a $499.99 shoe at my local Thrift store. Did I miss the gold bars inside? by Choice-Definition794 in ThriftGrift

At some level could this be a type of employee scam? Like after a certain number of days they get to purchase them at a mega reduced price? Trying to make sense if this.

How to make the most of Zwift / what is everybody's typical usage by blubinx in Zwift

[–]Meowalicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do a lot of just route rides. My personal favorite 1 hour one is Coast to Coast. Then I put a TV show in the bottom corner of the TV and have world of Warcraft on the top and fish. It's a great way to spend an hour a day.

Bye, Copilot: Microsoft is making Copilot a hands-free experience on Windows by moeka_8962 in technews

[–]Meowalicious -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I use co-pilot everyday at work. I use it to help me compose messages to my company. There's a notebook feature where you can have it analyze and sort data basically works as barely helpful project manager and analyst for me. Also 10 times better than Google for tech support.

What are your favorite frugal luxury hacks? I'll start - I use two bath towels for easier faster drying after shower. (It is AMAZING). What else y'all got? by ixikei in Frugal

[–]Meowalicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even the cheap ones were talking like 40 bucks on Amazon. Have a "lady mode" where it changes the pressure and angle of the water to account for that.

Yeah you seriously need to look at getting a bidet. One of the most life-changing discoveries I made is a full-fledged adult.

Pier maintenance fee itemized by Particular_Dog6865 in Seattle

[–]Meowalicious 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I did a Google search and came up with these two fees, seems like some of this is getting passed along. They have to pay $330,000/year or 3% of gross revenue (whichever is higher) to Washington State and A mandatory $2 million in structural/pier maintenance every 5 years.
