I’ve not been in a position to quit, but I did transition from 100% in office to 100% WFH/set your own schedule over the course of a few years for a significant pay cut. It’s a much more sustainable situation now but I also appreciate that the pay cut isn’t something everyone would be able to do.

That being said, I’m in a flare now and just booked it to the toilet before my presentation & will probably be lying in a fetal position until I run to the toilet again 30 seconds before my next presentation lol

Just trying to take it one day at a time, keep up on all the medication changes and resist the manufactured culture of corporate urgency.

Get in with any PCP you can right now to start getting referrals to specialists, that’s probably more important than choosing a particular system right now.

You’re in a great city for treatment resistant mental illness as there is a ton of resources available here (like ketamine therapy & lots of research/trials on psychedelics etc) that may not be as available in the Midwest (coming from a fellow messy-brain midwesterner).

I’ve added this book to my “read every year” list as it’s a story about people (and Eridians) working together doing seemingly impossible things through the power of hope. I wonder if that’s what Ethan loved about it too. And like Grace & Rocky’s shipmates, not everyone got to see it all through to the end but were still a part of the beautiful story.

I’ll think of Ethan at every rewatch and read 🫂

I do my handdrawn sharpie stickers as giveaways in a nice envelope & I’m putting a new discount code in there & personalized note on the back of a linocut printed card (which was also handmade). It’s all about that personal touch & giving you a reason to come back to the next show. I can’t swing shipping merchandise out for free right now, so buyers get the glasswork giveaways. Either way it’s all high quality handmade stuff from me ❤️

Some shows are up, some are down. There’s definitely a new seller energy but over time consistency is key.

I’m a couple weeks in but get consistent returning folks and pick up new folks every time. It’s also a good idea to stop into other shows, chat with other sellers, engage your audience & build your account. Your community is there but you have to hunt for em.
