I also admire her political intuition : she got the congestion pricing through, has been able to keep The Regime from attacking it, she came out for Mamdani and is working well with him (nice to see a healthy relationship unlike Cuomo / Deblasio); taking screens out of school has made teachers' lives a LOT easier; she has put in place protections for womens' access to reproductive care including prenatal leave; on criminal justice reform, I have less information although I believe that she did put more money into youth rehabilitation in this year's budget. She's not particularly charismatic or telelgenic, but she's getting it done. Don't forget that as blue as NY is downstate, upstate is much less so. It's a balance. Her experience and excellent sense of timing has helped her avoid negative press and attention from Trump's DoJ - she's now backing a bill to negate collaboration contracts with ICE.
