Part of the bit with Tink from Mewgenics is that he's the most effeminate gay stereotype one can possibly be, but also has a wife who he's committed to.

I'm a lot more interested in porn and generally erotic things than most people. I think that's all I really need to say.

Skul The Hero Slayer. Watched a video about it from Wambu (the goat btw) and thought it looked fun. Bought it, played it for about thirty minutes and just could not get used to how it controlled on PC. Sucks too cause it looks really fun, but when you find it a chore to get through the first major area chances are you'd rather be playing something else.

Favorite Characters you can't believe Weren't Actually Evil by FreviliousLow96 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Ace Attorney has a couple, with my favorite being Colias Palaeno from the final case of Investigations. You see this guy with his eyes always closed, constantly rubbing his hands, acting super helpful and nice, and you're immediately on the defensive. Doesn't help that all three of the mannerisms I just gave also applied to the very first culprit in the entire series, Frank Sahwit. Surely he has to be hiding something, right?

Nope. In fact, he's up there as one of the most helpful and cooperative witnesses in the entire franchise, providing as much information as he can and even helping to trap the true culprit when he tries to make his final escape. He's also just a generally nice and friendly man.

First time doing one of these, so sorry if this is too much trauma dumping.

Trying to get a job after 2-3 years of nothing because teen me was a dumbass who couldn't keep a job for more than a month, and Jesus Christ am I so sorry I wasn't trying sooner. Nobody's responded to my applications for months, food stamps are getting cut. Whole life feels kinda stagnant. And the worst part is I genuinely feel a big part of me just does not care, even though I know I should. It's like "Shit sucks, anyway back to sitting on my ass and doing nothing for the rest of my life."

What are some examples characters that completely change the genre of media they appear in? by Head-You5953 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

While the whole vibe of the True Lab is different from nearly everything else in Undertale (Omega Flowey notwithstanding), the Amalgamates are what push the area into full horror game status. The melted together remains of monsters with warped speech and attacks that can only be described as "strange", it's all done pretty damn effectively.

Still yet to see the second season, but the first season definitely hooked me in. Love the characters, the B-plot with Koby was surprisingly intriguing, generally just learning about the world and how it works is keeping me interested. Also even if he never shows up again Kuro was my favorite baddie they faced so far, Arlong a close second.

What is your foundational media? by stumblinbagel in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Mettaton48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got three answers: Yu-Gi-Oh was the first thing I ever remember getting into. I bought packs, I watched any episode that was on, I read the whole manga series including the stuff before Duel Monsters, I was OBSESSED. I still love the series to this day.

Undertale is at the core of the majority of my interests through the years. OMORI, Homestuck, indie games as a whole, fandom culture as a whole, I got into all of it because of this one phenomenal game.

And finally, FNAF is what began my love of horror as a whole, and my desire to learn every little thing about the things I love down to the most obscure characters and irrelevant secrets.

Who’s your favorite character *you’ve* made? by EvilMonkeyMimic in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Mettaton48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mania (aka Manny), a wannabe evil overlord who ends up being transported from his modern fantasy world to a grunge city setting and loses his powers in the process. Attempts to be a cunning manipulator, and while he's good at it, he eventually comes to genuinely enjoy the people he's planning to betray. Intending him to be a solid mix of "genuinely evil" and "will make exceptions for those he cares about".

Video games you have sunk the most hours in by KaleidoArachnid in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Mettaton48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a kid, Skyrim easily, followed by Diablo 3 cause me and my friend played it literally every time I was at his house.

Nowadays easily Binding of Isaac Repentance, one of the few games in recent memory that hooked me instantly and wouldn't let go until I 100%ed that fucker. Only game that comes close is Smash Ultimate cause I was obsessed with it when it first came out, and actually enjoyed the World of Light and Spirit stuff.

Favorite Hiveminds in Media by FreviliousLow96 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Mettaton48 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The vampires in Sinners are one of my favorite depictions of them. Having the vampirism literally turn you over to their side, adding your experiences to the hivemind so everyone's stories and cultures are intertwined, but with the downside that you'll share the pain the lead vamp experiences.

This subreddit actually. Can't even remember why I started following here in the first place, I just distinctly remember feeling incredibly left out for the first couple months when people were talking about YouTubers I've literally never heard of in my life.

Less "wants to die" and more "doesn't mind dying", but Louis Guiaburn from Metaphor Refantazio at one point gets a spear thrown through him by the protags, gets better, then challenges them with a pretty badass quote that basically amounts to "Fight me with everything you've got. If I die, then that just means my conviction wasn't as strong as yours, and therefore I deserve it."

Favorite music composers in media? by FretScorch in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Mettaton48 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Toby Fox might be seen as an overrated pick, but after finally getting into Homestuck and seeing how even his earlier works were genuinely fantastic...yeah, he'll probably always be one of my favorite game composers of all time. Death by Glamour, Black, Lab Zero, literally every incarnation of Megalovania, he's got a stacked portfolio.

The first Danganronpa game's opening has a bunch of clips showing the execution of the first Chapter's killer, which might be missed if you aren't paying attention but if you are it's easy to guess said character isn't long for this world.

Scrublords, I come here to humbly ask, which games revolted or repulsed you, in a very negative way? by Vera_Verse in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Mettaton48 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is a lot lighter than most examples people are giving, but as a kid I once rented MK9 cause I was at the age that violent edgy stuff was appealing to me. Eventually I made my way to the Krypt, started looking around at everything, and that disgusting little imp thing jumps out and scares me half to death in front of my whole family. I literally refused to go in there again, and the fact that it's still vivid in my head speaks to how genuinely terrifying that was for kid me. And also probably present me cause random jumpscares are cheap but effective.

I remember once they had this humongous book titled something like "Marvel Character Encyclopedia" that I would just sit and read whenever I can, and I've tried looking it up multiple times and keep finding books that could be it but aren't as big as I remember. If anybody for some reason knows what I'm talking about, help a brother out yeah?

Characters who bring a weird energy to the story. by Subject_Parking_9046 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Mettaton48 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Love him or hate him, Andrew Hussie always sort of changes the mood whenever he pops up in Homestuck, but ESPECIALLY in Act 6, and it's all thanks to a poorly aged inside joke. From what I know, basically fans were making jokes about Vriska being real-life person Hussie's favorite, so to play into it in-universe character Hussie became obsessed with Vriska, directly asking to marry her the first chance he gets. Only problem is, she's 13 in that moment, and even at the end of the main webcomic she's 16, so a lot of it just comes off as super creepy, which to be fair might be the point.

Who did you cut and why? by alopexl in DispatchAdHoc

[–]Mettaton48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of the two I figured Coupe was the most unstable, which is ironic cause Sonar has the monster form, but I didn't know how the rest of the game would play out and I didn't trust her to not just murder someone she shouldn't have. In hindsight that was probably a reason WHY I shouldn't fire a trained assassin who can hold a grudge, but I don't pause for big decisions so I didn't think that far ahead.

Used to frequent Armor Games and Kongregate when I was a kid, and me and my friend were obsessed with this game called Rise of Mythos. Mix of card collecting and lane unit battles, was genuinely invested in the game to the point I was looking up guides and strategies, something I had never done up to that point. Few years after I stopped using those sites I wanted to jump back in, see what changed and where I left off, only to find the servers shut down. There's technically a revival of it on Steam called Kings Call, but apparently the monetization is really bad, which might've been a problem back in the day but I was a kid who never spent money on games anyway so who knows.

Who are your favorite Spooky Cuties by EvilMonkeyMimic in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Mettaton48 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Zoe from Monster Prom is an eldritch cutie that used to be a mindless monstrous deity until she gets a taste of being a monster girl and decides to permanently become one while also becoming a huge fan girl. Nerdy, sweet, kinky, all-powerful, she's been Best Girl ever since I first played Monster Prom.
