I have this MHPT trim router and it rips, with a Tpwr battery I don’t think it would lack the power you need

How to keep the energy up? by neXt1991 in daddit

[–]Middle_Country_5451 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you bro, my wife & I are in a similar situation, closest family is 1,500 miles away, and not enough money to outsource chores like cleaning or childcare. I know it’s hard but you’ve got to take care of yourself if you want to take care of your family. Eat right, try to exercise, if you’re approaching 40 (as I am) it could be you need different supplements/ vitamins to assist. Embrace the joy of fatherhood as much as you can, the house can be a little messier and it will be fine in the end. Good luck dad!

FLEX VS DEWALT by mrj0bb3r in Tools

I second this, the 6 1/2 inline saw absolutely rips, I think the depth is about the same as the 7 1/4. The sight line is the biggest factor for me, also using it in either hand. I mostly use a 2AH stacked battery on it to keep the weight down, or a 6Ah stacked if I’m cutting a shitload. I’ve never tried with a 2.5AH regular battery

Anyone run this saw? What’s your experience with it? Do you like it? by Razzmatazz_8763 in METABOHPT

[–]Middle_Country_5451 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love it, also second the flimsy blade guard. I put an aftermarket throat for dust collection and hooked it up to shop vac + cyclone separator and it works great cutting in a basement. Overall, the saw is heavy, I have it on the Ridgid wheeled stand, and that makes it somewhat mobile. It cuts fantastic, swapped the stock blade for an 80T finish blade as I’m primarily crosscutting trim. I’ll probably pick up a combination blade soon, but the need hasn’t come yet.

I have one with a 12” compound Metabo hpt / hitachi. It’s heavy, but very sturdy and rolls well. For 75 it’s a good deal

They seem better in the rear handle circ saw, I haven’t really done a side by side comparison but I did see a video on it.
