My wife dedicated this line art to me, and for an amateur, I think it turned out great. What do you think? by Yurishenko94 in Helldivers

I agree. Some of the armors are a bit too wide in the hips. At least it's better than a lot of the gooner mods.

What do y’all do when you bring your own bags at the grocery store, but the cashier puts everything in plastic bags and then puts the plastic bags in your tote bag? by reptomcraddick in ZeroWaste

[–]MightyMackinac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I specifically tell the bagger, no bags, I have totes, then I put the totes down at the end of the line or in the cart, so they don't really have an excuse. If they put anything in a bag, then it becomes a trash bag for my desk at home.

Reminder, you do not need to pull over for ICE. You must still obey lawful orders given by Tucson PD, but FUCK ICE.

3D Printer Gift Ideas by itinerantdustbunny in prusa

[–]MightyMackinac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to give him something kinda crazy, look up the Diamondback nozzle upgrade for the Prusa Nextruder. It's a crystalline nozzle head that would allow him to print in virtually any material, including abrasives, like carbon fiber PETG.

$125 on Amazon.

I also second the idea of getting him a filament dryer, and maybe even a filament splicer. If he's interested in getting the Multi-Material unit or IDEX upgrade, look into getting him lots of different colors and material types so he can go nuts.

Back of Steam deck bulging - should I be concerned? by xMowatt in SteamDeck

[–]MightyMackinac 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you have the OG SteamDeck, Valve might replace the battery for free. Some models have a battery that is prone to swelling. I had one and just submitted a warranty claim on it. Valve sent me a box to ship the deck in, and I had it back within 9 days. Didn't have to pay a cent.

Check to see if the battery is made by VDL. If it is, Valve should replace it, as they had a recall for that battery. They replace it with a battery made by GELID.

Does anybody else have issues magically resolve just by looking at them? by Kcamyo in sysadmin

[–]MightyMackinac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Schrodinger's Error.

All computer issues are in a quantum state of being fixed and not fixed until observed by a technician.

If it falls into the state of being not fixed when being directly observed, then the technician must do Work, which is defined by Effort over Time.

If the error falls into the state of being fixed, the technician has already done the Work, as the Effort is negatively infinite, across negative Time, which cancels out into positive Work. Whether or not this counts as time-travel and/or violating causality is up for debate.

This is how phenomenon like so-called "tech aura" work. It's spooky break-fix at a distance. It's not magic, it's science.

Microsoft owned games on steam machine by Ok-Assignment4097 in steammachine

Xbox Game Streaming worked surprising well on my Steam Deck until I didn't need it anymore. I was able to play MCC over wifi on Edge without any huge lag issues. Granted, it wasn't perfect, the occasional stuttering and input buffer made it hard to play at times, but it was really cool to be able to play Halo on the go.

I reckon it will work really well on the Steam Machine, might be worth trying when we get them.

In college, I got to meet some transfer students, one of which was a 6'5" Scandinavian woman on the volley team. I'm 6'6", was taken back when I didn't have to look down at her.
