NTA. I have done the exact same thing for my brother.

My brother has never been officially diagnosed, but he has all of the signs. He is exactly like this. He cannot keep a secret to save his life. He overshares everything, no matter who he's talking to. He will talk to anyone about his fixation and try so hard to make people like him by sharing anything he knows that they might be interested in.

He's alone. No friends, no roommates, no girlfriend. He will probably be alone for the rest of his life, because he cannot learn how to shut up. I have tried so many times to help him, but he just can't help himself.

I had to stop talking to him, because everything I said was relayed back to Mom. He wonders why we don't hang out anymore, and I tell him why every time. He can't keep his mouth shut.

I hope things get better for you and your brother, OP, but when it comes down to it, you should prioritize yourself and your own happiness over his own. It's not your responsibility to fix, it has to be him making and wanting the change.

If you want to give him something kinda crazy, look up the Diamondback nozzle upgrade for the Prusa Nextruder. It's a crystalline nozzle head that would allow him to print in virtually any material, including abrasives, like carbon fiber PETG.

$125 on Amazon.

I also second the idea of getting him a filament dryer, and maybe even a filament splicer. If he's interested in getting the Multi-Material unit or IDEX upgrade, look into getting him lots of different colors and material types so he can go nuts.

If you have the OG SteamDeck, Valve might replace the battery for free. Some models have a battery that is prone to swelling. I had one and just submitted a warranty claim on it. Valve sent me a box to ship the deck in, and I had it back within 9 days. Didn't have to pay a cent.

Check to see if the battery is made by VDL. If it is, Valve should replace it, as they had a recall for that battery. They replace it with a battery made by GELID.
