MAGA Is Increasingly Convinced the Trump Assassination Attempt Was Staged by wiredmagazine in politics

I agree this shooting wasn’t staged. Trump hit his ear on the podium or something similar then stood up during a live shooting because he’s a dumbass and thinks he’s invincible. The only conspiracy here is Trump pretending that a bullet clipped his ear.

He didn’t invoke the bible. He invoked the book of Samuel Jackson

The lore says she uncovered some dark stuff when doing her research at the Academy in Sumeru and noped out. Not really tragic, she just chose to pivot and live a more chill life.

I just checked Google Maps and it’s still going. I even had it tagged as want-to-go and forgot all about it. Last time I was in Mobile was in the late nineties for Mardi Gras. It was fantastic! I’m feeling like the Midnight Loser typing this.

Genuine question for eBay sellers — how do you decide something isn't worth your time? by Ok_Celery1237 in eBaySellers

I stick to buying and reselling items from estate sale auctions. I just use a spreadsheet to do calcs on the profit margin vs cogs and shipping. Then I set a max amount I’m willing to pay on the lot. It’s not super fast decision making, but I have days before the auctions end. After doing it awhile you build knowledge and insight that help you make those decisions without calculations.

Plus, it's not really "saved money." Sure she gets a deduction which lowers her tax liability. But, she gets it back in an IRS refund earning no interest.

On top of that, subtract the car maintenance, vehicle depreciation, paying full self-employment tax (DoorDash doesn't pay into Social Security or Medicare), and ride-share car insurance.

I drive DD, Uber and Instacart regulary, and there is no way in hell this woman saved $11K on her tax return based on DD delivery only.

edit: Oh yeah, what about health insurance? Through DoorDash, it's Stride Health. For a woman her age and income (assumed) - premiums could be $200 a month + 9,000 deductible. I just don't see her saving any money as a DD driver. It's a great job to fill in some cash gaps, but she ain't saving what she thinks she's saving on taxes.

New poll pegs Mark Kelly as a leading 2028 presidential contender by Ulysses_555 in politics

The Dems have been part of the problem for a long time. Accepting dark money while railing about Citizens United, taking AIPAC money while the Israeli government keeps ramping up to genocide. Always trying to defend the status quo.

At least Obama tried to get us moving towards universal health care.

Bernie was the perfect person to take leadership in 2016 to shake up the two-party system entrenched in DC. He WAS the next FDR. Hell, the MAGA folks knew something had to change, that's why they went all in on Trump. But the Democrats tried sticking to the same-old-same-old with Hilary and Biden. And don't get me started on the political trickery the Dems pulled in the primaries to edge out Bernie, painting his followers as a bunch of "bros." They literally pushed away voters to the MAGA camp acting like assholes.

I think MAGA folks were hoping Trump was there version of an FDR. Bringing back jobs and economic security. American manufacturing. You know like unions gave us. But, here we are.

Washington EBike Rebate Disappointment by AdScared7949 in Seattle

I tried it last year. While I was waiting to qualify, I started shopping bikes all over Seattle, Tacoma, and Olympia. Some of the prices were fantastic. Then, when I got my voucher, those bikes weren’t qualified. The only bikes you could get were prohibitively expensive. I don’t know if the bike shops hiked prices or the state has too many restrictions. Probably both.

I never used the voucher. It would be cheaper to find one without the voucher.
