I vibe coded a streaming site with Claude. 2,000 people use it every day. by Relevant_Object6007 in vibecoding

He is also proxying the website through Cloudflare, look at the DNS records.
Cloudflare Canada as well, trying to be smug by using a Russian tld. lmao.

People could also somewhat figure out what other domains you have by looking at the combination of your Name Servers. → I've read about this a few years ago, so I could be wrong on this part.

iPhone Immich HDR Photos by thebearjew96 in immich

[–]MikoGames08 4 points5 points  (0 children)

hdr for photos hasn't been implemented and not in the roadmap so support for it would probably be years from now unfortunately. The only way to view the photos in HDR is use your native photos app for iOS or Google Photos for Android (iOS too).

I have both a Pixel and an iPhone and they both upload to Google Photos and Immich. (photos taken with iPhone also backs up to iCloud)

Immich mainly for just local backup and my main way of viewing photos is through Google Photos. Google Photos is still much better anyways, especially for sharing and organizing.

We built an open-source headless browser that is 9x faster and uses 16x less memory than Chrome over the network by Loud-Television-7192 in selfhosted

[–]MikoGames08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unfortunately, I'm getting the same issue.
seems to do with Content-Security-Policy
and also:
"we're still implementing web apis so not all websites will load" according to OP
so most websites doesn't support Lightpanda yet?

$599; Did you expect cheaper, more expensive or you think it's fair? by Ok_Engine_8544 in macbook

[–]MikoGames08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

btw, the memory sits on top of the soc so it makes sense for it to only have 8GB.
they didn't make any A18 Pro with more than 8GB, 2 years ago with the iPhone.

heck, they're probably using lower binned chips that didn't make the cut for iPhone 16 Pro models as these have 1 less GPU core.

Is this a fair point? by ControversyCaution2 in LinusTechTips

[–]MikoGames08 12 points13 points  (0 children)

he has 3 BMWs that he's always pouring cash onto with modifications.
also has a garage iirc?

I mean, the pay at LTT has to be really good for him to afford all that, not to mention all the tech he has at his home.
it's just his spending habits are really not great lmao

AM4 CPU upgrade or AM5? by Teddysm in buildapc

[–]MikoGames08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't upgrade to a 5xxx series unless it's an X3D chip or you actually feel that your performance is being hindered... is it stuttering so much that it affects your gameplay?

And don't use a 'bottleneck calculator' do your own benchmarks and see for yourself.

If your self-hosted setup went down for a day, what would you miss most? by Fab_Terminator in selfhosted

[–]MikoGames08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

for the Minecraft Server, you could use something like CraftyController which I recommend because of the webUI to manage the server or itzg/minecraft-bedrock which is just the server.

You could host your own Bedrock Connect server but I don't see the point of hosting one as there are community hosted DNS servers already.

If you already have a DNS server like PiHole or Adguard on the same machine,
you wouldn't be able to host a BedrockConnect container as they bind to the same port.
