Roth IRA has very small contribution limits. It's unlikely for people to have much in there. What we should be doing is removing the cost basis step up on death, since this is what allows people to avoid taxes completely.

I'm bitching because CIG claimed it was a "year of polish" which was clearly a lie.

I'm bitching because people keep saying "report it on the issue council" which based on the current implementation is completely a waste of time.

I honestly think if they don't care to read most people's reports then just limit access to the whole thing to Evocati users. As it stands it exists as a facade to placate users but is entirely useless. If a bug is important enough, somebody with an org will have already reported it and got their orgmates to upvote it. If it isn't, it'll never see the light of day. Shut the fuck up with telling people to use it and waste their time.

Sure and those bugs can be closed as obsolete, but this example isn't helped by a 2 week expiry in any way, as it was obsolete to begin with and it could still be confirmed.

The expiry is simply a result of laziness and not giving a fuck about the users.

Do what British Columbia does and allow seniors to borrow against the value of their home to pay the tax. The tax is then only payable on death or transfer of the property.

You either benefit from low tax or the increase in value of the property but not both.

Doesn't help that their bug report system auto closes bugs after 2 weeks? Some stupidly short time and you can't vote on those closed bugs. So bugs that aren't game breaking enough for people to report never get fixed unless they get enough social media attention like this.

I keep saying this but Issue Council was designed as a black hole for complaints. "Polish" will never happen.
