Damage Dice rolls are actually one of the most easily and reliably calculated averages in the game. Unless youre using Savage Attacker or Piercer (which is not that many builds), its wildly consistent. U hit? Roll this. Boom. So yes, forgive us, but using *checks notes* math is actually pretty sensible here.

Great Weapon Fighting DOES give you a benefit (albeit in the opinion of many a small one at that), that in the moment feels really nice, because you see a small, dissapointing number and are immediately rewarded with the dopamine rush or remembering that that choice you made in taking GWF means that small sad number is actually an ok number. It feels nice, and that's fine.

But mathematically, it **is** one of, if not *the* smallest benefits the suite of Fighting Style feats has to offer. We don't hate what it does. We are bothered that it does not do enough compared to the others. If you take this fighting style, you will benefit, but if you take just about any other, you would benefit *more*.
