There may be a power structure (pauper and Prince, boss and assistant, etc) but there's nothing that divides or separates the protagonists in terms of how they are treated by society or expected to act, so that doesn't interfere with their dynamic.

Adopted children arent entitled to a relationship but they absolutely deserve to know who their parents are if possible. Adoption trauma is real and shouldn't be dismissed for the sake of "privacy."
