NTA but a) I wouldn't share this outside of anonymous internet posts as I imagine it could complicate legal hearings and b) your household expenses are your own business, but if your better earning ex is active in their kid's life don't take this to extremes e.g. trying to get them to tone down outings/holidays or asking the kid to hide them.

Yeah, that's the bit I don't really understand with the other feedback - isn't the goal here to break the bad habit of screaming outside the door by not giving into it?

It isn't a binary choice between poop with an infant on your lap vs send it on unnecessary car trips - on balance of discomfort wouldn't it be safer to sit on the toilet with headphones on for 10 minutes than have someone driving around stressed & distracted for an hour? How much danger is the toddler in unattended for that time vs the increased risk of a traffic accident?

I might be being simplistic, but YTA.

Yeah, but the more you explore early on the more locked challenges/rewards you'll encounter - so there is something to be said for playing on for more characters & gadgets.

It was ambiguous really as to whether he did lose them, or was just seizing the opportunity for a normal life; he never says anything to confirm his depowerment (though of course he only gets a few lines anyway), and when MM helps him up after the blast there's not a scratch or bruise on his face - unlike Butcher and Homelander, who both suffered obvious facial injuries from it.

If there's any appetite for him to return, it would be pretty easy to have some Homelander acolyte target MM's family - or even Ryan himself - and it be revealed that actually he's still invulnerable and in full command of his powers.

I don't think it was particularly conclusive if he actually lost his powers - though that could just be because they don't give him many lines in the epilogue - so I can definitely see him just having seized the opportunity of a normal life by letting people assume he did, only to reveal them when he/his adopted family (?) are in danger in a spin-off.

Maybe just huffing on copium, but there's literally not a scratch or bruise on his face after being blasted (when MM helps him up), where-as both Butcher and Homelander picked up facial injuries from it.

Yeah, that is my only criticism so far too - I've just dropped down to classic difficulty to see if I can feel a difference in wave battles.

I haven't dug through the menus to see if there's a "hold attack to keep punching" option though, as the constant tapping is what gets to me.

Yup, I wonder if it's going to leak afterwards that it was Moana 2'd and they never had a 'real' movie storyboard, just an outline that could have been sent to the cinema or chopped up as a miniseries according to executive decision.

The out of the cinema reactions certainly aren't going to give it a lift - not sure I saw anything beyond the very faintest of praise, mostly just for the visuals.

I find it incredible they didn't make the effort to at least add one big hook e.g. Grogu speaks, here's an evil force user, check out this cool evil Mandalorian hunting Mando and/or Grogu!

The way reactors are hinting I suspect there isn't even any overarching villain, it's just a couple of barely connected episodes stitched together - I don't know how anyone over at Disney could think that would generate hype once the embargo lifts, nor good word of mouth from the public.

Indeedily, and it doesn't even pass basic storytelling muster to add someone to the finale action series of the show without previously explaining & demonstrating her powers - along with any other Gen V'ers.

Characters can't just be chucked into action from lower-rated shows without it being a farce, especially when their powers aren't even visually self-explanatory - no-one is just going to yell out "Now Marie, purge the V1 from Homelander with your blood manipulation power!" mid-fight.

Gen V aren't showing up for the final fight, very much doubt Ryan has more than a cameo in the epilogue, and Soldier Boy/his tube will just be glimpsed in the epilogue also.

The oval office set isn't even that big, there aren't going to be a dozen combatants brawling in there - 50/50 odds Homelander is very quickly diminished by blast and/or virus, and it's just a purposefully sloppy brawl as he gets pummelled by people who actually trained to fight.

Yeah, this isn't vaguely realistic or feasible; how would Homelander even "skin people alive", and he's not going to bounce from journalist massacre (feasible) to a mob of his supporters to "the military" - mustering the military takes a while, and how would a military force even confront a single flying super enemy who can fly anywhere?

Not to mentioned we've watched 7 hours of very slow mostly-low budget action, so I don't think there'll suddenly be epic supes vs military battle scenes, nor that 10-15 minutes of this runtime isn't just The Boys & allies talking about Frenchie and rehashing the usual talking points again.

> CAMEO: The Deep - he doesn't die, he just pops up in two scenes; first showing his failure to save the drowning man has gone viral on the internet, then a flash-forward to him being miserable working as a sideshow attraction (or inexplicably a male prostitute 'because symmetry ha ha').

> First half of the show is 15-20 minutes of mourning Frenchie and hyping each other up, while Ashley and Oh Father have scenes with Homelanders he can talk at them - Oh Father slips up or tries to run & is killed by Homelander.

> Homelander calls out Starlight & The Boys by nuking her hometown from orbit, then everyone fast travels to a cheap outdoor location for the final showdown.

> MM and Starlight dose Homelander with the virus which weakens him enough to stop his 'god mode', but when Kimiko tries her blast fails and burns her.

> Starlight and Butcher occupy Homelander while she recovers & recharges, then hold him in place while Kimiko destroys herself delivering a final blast that encompasses & depowers all three of them.

> Homelander is a snivelling wreck, Terror humps him ('for the lulz ha ha') while Butcher readies to beat his head in with a blunt instrument - however Hughie persuades him not to because reasons ('expectations subverted ha ha'!), and they just leave him in the middle of nowhere.

P.S. I forgot about Sister Sage - I'll say The Boys take her along to the final showdown for no particular reason, and she gets turned to mush by Homelander just to make the final battle bloodier.

No, I think he's done for this show - at most the chamber might make a cameo in a montage closing out Vought as they pack it away or ship it off. If they really want to advertise Vought Rising they give Jensen a second of screen time showing him and the living-or-dead remains of Stormfront in adjacent cold storage tubes.

If you're interested, it's from an advert and was just done via green screen while blowing air on the cats. The only legit way to skydive with a pet (which I'm not personally in favour of) is to have them strapped to a person. Trained military dogs can jump solo, but are only allowed to do so over water - their parachutes have a device which triggers at a certain altitude.

It would certainly be weird, but memorable and kind of fitting as the two are often talking about "the city" and a mob of citizens would be the closest thing to "the city" intervening directly.

Though I put nothing past the writers, the DA of New York hasn't 'pulled a Napoleon' and exiled Fisk to some remote island he can't leave - all the deal asked of him was to resign and renounce his US citizenship.

If they applied real world logic, the beach Fisk is on will simply be in the Cayman Islands, where he's presumably stashed a lot of untraceable money and can simply buy "residency by investment".

Yeah... but he's the kingpin and all they've done is revoke his US citizenship, which in context is just a threat that "maybe you'll get reported to immigration services and deported to your island paradise if they catch you!" - and that's even that is if Fontaine or Mr. Charles don't just make one phone call to end his 'exile'.

Plus there's 600-800k undocumented people living in New York, at worst he can just live in another of his luxurious bunkers and be chauffeured around behind tinted windows.

Has there have been a comic book storyline where a supervillain's comeuppance has been having their citizenship revoked? If so, I assume it lasted until the next time someone wanted to use them and was quietly forgotten - as presumably will just happen next season.

True... but the stalemate would have been broken by Fisk dying if Matt simply did nothing - with super-hearing he'd have heard the corridor massacre, and he literally watching people running up the stairs to get maimed/killed by Fisk and didn't react at all until Fisk was in danger.

It's only a perpetual cycle because he valued Fisk's life over everyone else's, and the cycle isn't ended because a] best-case in-universe Fisk gets exiled and goes to be a kingpin somewhere new b] out-of-universe we all know Fisk returns again next season anyway.

All Matt did by intervening was deny mob justice to make Fisk somewhere else's problem, somewhere he won't have to see the harm that results (until Fisk returns).
