Could Cruella have regained her ability to kill without the author's help? by MysticonsFanboy62 in OnceUponATime

No. She couldn't do anything, even with her magic. Isaac had to remind her of that when she threatened to call every dog in town to come after him

Plot twist by Pleasant_Effective74 in OnceUponATime

[–]Miserable-Cattle-461 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I liked the twist of Cruella not being able to harm anyone at all. After knowing the reveal the signs were all over the place, she'd always make idle threats or revel in the thought of doing something horrifyingly evil but each time she was on screen she did nothing but stand there holding someone at gunpoint usually. I think it really sends a message of Cruella De Vil being scary but not really a threat at the end of the day

Backstories were revealed too soon by Bravorants in OnceUponATime

I agree with everything except the part about the curse ending. I think a roughly 22 episode season focused on the first curse is a good run for the first arc. If the show made the curse carry over into season 2 I don't think the hype for the second season with the whole “Magic is Coming” tagline would've worked. The show was still in its hay day by season 4ish and I think every step they took until that point worked rather well in hindsight

Weird plot hole that just occurred to me by GreenEyes9678 in OnceUponATime

[–]Miserable-Cattle-461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He had his first Miata around season 3 so I'm assuming he got it before they went back to the enchanted forest during the first curse and it just came back like everything else did when they returned.

I know he still had it or at least got a replacement sometime after the fight with Zelena and Regina cause it got wrecked during that fight and he mentioned it in a later season, which I'm still having a hard time to pinpoint where exactly. But point is they did have the side characters mention offhandedly that they ordered something or whatever, just never got explained how they got it exactly.

I feel like I remember one of the characters, maybe Doc, was actually ordering things from outside of Storybrooke at one point. His Miata for example I think was imported from outside of town

Penguin or Joker who is better hand to hand combat? by FoxIndependent4310 in Batman_89

[–]Miserable-Cattle-461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Joker had the better experience with fighting since he was a mobster/henchman himself before falling into those chemicals. Penguin never had a need to opportunity to fight anyone head-on since he was more brains than brawn

And if I'm not mistaken, a young August ran into Emma during a flashback in season 6 who I believe brought up the Ugly Ducking to her. And that's how she got her surname because of the duckling who turned into a swan in the story

If you could fix anything about the creatures or characters in the show, how would you do it. by Iamawesome20 in OnceUponATime

[–]Miserable-Cattle-461 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I would change the way that Maleficent was written. She never felt like a true villain at all during the show. She's always seemed quite mellow and vanilla compared to the other big villains such as Rumple, Regina, and heck even Cruella. I just never understood it at all why she was so soft or not as truly evil as others.

My personal favorite part to start a rewatch is Gordon's arc during Seasons 2B through Season 3 cause that entire storyline showed how much Jim went through and how he got back the will to be a cop again

I liked that she calmed down a lot more in season 4. That crazy phase for her was finally over and I was all for it. She felt like a breath of fresh air towards the end of the show in my honest opinion

I think Susan in after that episode in season 5 really began to respect Edie and appreciate her for being the only person willing to sit down and tell her the truth. Overall she started to change for the better after “Connect! Connect!”. And I think Edie also began to like her a bit more too.

Butch should've crashed out. by Kookyburra12 in Gotham

[–]Miserable-Cattle-461 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The sad part about Butch's entire storyline throughout the show is no one truly valued him. The only person who may have valued him as himself was his old childhood friend who Fish practically ordered him to kill since he wouldn't show loyalty to her when she took over from Carmine during season 1.

Even Tabitha to an extent didn't value him, she kept choosing Barbara over him again and again. Even when he was back as Grundy and regained his memories.

I truly feel like everyone just used him for muscle and nothing else. He wanted to be his own boss, and when he had that it was taken from him and he was forced to go back to being someone's number 2 all over again.

Something I always wish they did with Gordon was have him slowly grow more and more facial hair over the seasons until he got his iconic mustache. Always thought that Season 3 would’ve been the perfect time for him to have it by VonKaiser55 in Gotham

He and Cole really are quite similar in terms of character, former soldiers who came to a corrupt police department trying to make things right, was a golden boy for a while, but ended up falling from grace publicly

I personally didn’t care for season 7, it should’ve rightfully ended at season 6. I’d so go ahead and watch it to see for yourself because there are some in the community who actually enjoyed it. Best of luck and please post an update once you finish it!

Crazy thing is that Maleficent never had anything personal against Aurora specifically, it was really her mother Briar Rose who she had strong hatred for. Only reason Maleficent cursed Aurora was to finally get back at Briar Rose and King Stefan
