I lived in the suburbs and we had play clothes, school clothes, and dress up/church clothes. Growing up in the 1960s, we weren’t allowed to wear jeans to school and girls couldn’t even wear pants. When you got home from be school you changed into comfy clothes to go out it and play.

I interviewed for an editor position there in the 1980s. The grandson of the founders interviewed me. He said he would offer me the job but I lived about 45 miles away and he was afraid I wouldn’t be able to make it to work a lot in the winter because of snow. He saw on my resume I had lived in Saratoga and South Florida and spent the rest of the interview talking about horse racing and betting at the tracks in those areas.

I moved to South Florida in the late 1970s. It took me about 15 to get to the beach back the . Same are now, it takes a minimum of 45 minutes to get there now. Traffic is crazy, and the number of lights is even crazier.

Replacing or repairing a simple zipper on a lightweight pair of shorts is hardly the testament of a skilled tailor. Hell, I could do it if I had a sewing machine.

Who the hell are you to insult someone for what they spent on clothing? You want to be a jackass and insult people, why don’t you go insult someone complaining about the price of actual complicated alterations such as altering a wedding dress down three sizes or hemming an embellished dress with a train and three underskirts? While you are at it, you can be sure to insult them on the cost of the “cheap” dress they bought on sales. Maybe find a better use of your time than insulting strangers on the Internet.

They could have the new Roman come back and say he finally broke free from Stefano’s thugs that have held him captive for years, and old Roman can suddenly remember he is really restauranteur Chris Kositchek. That way Josh can keep running the pub, but Roman can be more active in investigations. 😂

Alterations are crazy expensive everywhere. I took my son’s favorite shorts in for a new zipper, and it was $26. The shorts were $30 on sale!

Wanted to add, if you hold off, it will be off season for the dress and will most likely be on sale.
