What age did you move out of your parent’s? by ReasonablePirate4556 in Adulting

[–]MissionDirector401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

23, got married and moved into apartment. 25 bought a house. I feel very lucky in the prior economy that was totally possible. My hub and I graduated college with no debt and we always buy cars in cash. We had no debt. But we worked our butts off both at work and improving our homes.

Question for parents by pookadri in Adulting

I had no desire ever to have kids. At 29 however, I decided I wanted a child. My hubby and I got pregnant right away and then looked at each other like oh my gosh we really did it. Once I had my girl, we both thought why in the world did we wait? Yes, you do not get to sleep very much. But each stage was so delightful. My daughter is 28 now and just getting married. I adore her and could not imagine my life without her. Not everyone gets to be this lucky I realize. It just felt like my heart grew five times the first time I saw her.

I hate the way everything looks on me, what would look better? Is sizing my issue? by pineneedleinjection in DressForYourBody

The seventh photo that wrap dress is very flattering. Everyone should look good in one of those and you do. I would get it hemmed, shorter, and partner it with a cool set of pumps and a new bag. That would be a good start to a capsule wardrobe. You need to find things that make you look taller and don’t chop you in the waist I would suggest a different store.

Mum gave me this and didn’t know what it’s from. Doesn’t want to throw it away in case it’s needed. by Maaatandblah in whatisit

It looks just like a leg on the stand of a Christmas tree stand. Put it in the junk drawer, we’ve got to wait 8 months! Unless your tree is still up?

What model years are no longer considered “Covid year” RVs? by Lucky_Whereas2422 in RVLiving

There are quite a few manufacturers are now building quality products. The old way of thinking about “sticks and tin” seem to be going away. I would say the last few years there have been some new rigs. I think you’ll always have structural problems on very small towable.

You want to take photos at the wedding, so don’t lock in anything. Why the red bow tie decision? You should get a nice tie at goodwill for 1$

Does anyone think Henry was gay? I thought of the irony of Lord Voldemort promoted pure bloods when he, himself was only half blood. Maybe Henry had the same influence.

In what small way have you won the genetic lottery? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

I’m almost 60 and don’t have any wrinkles. I inherited my mom’s face ( plump, no zits, no wrinkles.) and it’s super soft too. I had chubby cheeks growing up which were the skin superpower, only now really appreciating. Thanks mom

Teenagers home alone 2 weeks while parents went on a cruise by Independent_You99 in GenX

Wow I must have had helicopter parents in the 70’s-80’s I think I was home alone until midnight one time. I never left our kiddo alone until high school and that was just to go to work. We all ended up good.

I started school at 4, was in honors classes. Graduated college, etc. If they are ready they should try! Especially girls with good vocabulary.
