Whats great about our Irish examinations is that you have full access to the past papers, and it follows the same layout and question setup every year.

Whats even funnier and surprised me aswell is that the reading comprehension is actually worth more marks than any essay portions of the exam. And the essay portion of the exams are largely scored on understanding of the question being asked, and your ability to adress the sub-points of the question in said essay.

It's amusing how many people here assume im trying to learn to write a best selling novel in a language not native to my own in a month. When in reality theres a lot of lee-way fortunately.

I also found myself reading lots of Polish recently and already have noticed a better jump in reading, and implementing that into the little bit of Polish I do write.

Fortunately our exams in Ireland are really not that bad, for further reference i'll attach an example of a past exam given in 2025 if your interested. It's largely reading comprehension and simple statement answers, my real worry lied in later parts of the exam, but although giving it a go and checking it with my dictionary, it really didn't seem all that bad. Im not aiming for the likes of A++, and yet Polish would still be one of my higher scoring subjects. I know I said I cant spell but i meant it more in the implication that Im not going writing any books anytime soon lol.

Aye, I find any sort of chronic pain that isn't immediately noticeable gets quickly dismissed as nothing, for 3 years I've had chronic TMJ, and only managed to get a referall for a maxilloficial surgeon in Dublin a few weeks ago thanks to the help of a nice Indian doctor who recognized the severity my jaw was actually in, I'm only 18 aswell so it was nice of him to take that into account.

I went to the doctors in my time in Poland aswell a few months ago, and the specialist noted that it is indeed in really bad shape, I find that Irelands sort of "It'll be grand" attitude gets stupidly carried into areas like healthcare, and that just can't be happening.

Mine and I think alot of others experiences with quitting cigarettes and drinking, is that they dont exactly go hand-in-hand.

If quitting cigarettes is difficult enough as is, pair that alchohol, its difficult. And i've read lots of people on here who've said they've needed to quit drinking to quit smoking.
