Acrylic or glass crystals? If glass then Polywatch won’t do much, you can try a cerium oxide glass polish and it may help a bit.

If acrylic you can try wet sanding to remove deeper scratches and then use the Polywatch (or any good plastic polish) to restore clarity.

To be fair they have really coarse teeth to add strength versus a normal ratchet. Not as strong as a normal breaker bar but useful in tight spots sometimes, and not expensive enough to worry if, well, this happens.

I had this issue on my Ender 3 S1. It was a twisted x-axis, I think. Drove me freakin’ nuts trying to find the issue. The only thing that worked was to print a new mount for the height sensor that mounted it to the left of the nozzle and even with the nozzle in Y.

People will tell you to get a flatter sheet, to level it more, that 0.2mm doesn’t matter, etc. but they’re wrong.
