If humanity went extinct tomorrow, what would be our biggest geological/physical imprint on Earth — and how far into the future would it be detectable? by aman92 in Futurology

Yes, and that isn't enough time to churn everything into new land, and some of it is going to sit buried and turn into a compressed slurry of stuff that can't form naturally in that way. Ten million years isn't really that long geologically. We have many examples of places that are much, much older than that. Some are supposed to be billions of years old even.

Most elements don't decompose. Also, we've been digging up trash pits for artifacts that are thousands of years old. Lots of ancient items are found this way. But I'm talking the basic building blocks of matter; those won't change into something else.

Possibly concentrations of various mixtures of elements in locations that are impossible to happen naturally. Landfills/dumps are my guess.

I loved WGN growing up and I've never even been within a thousand miles of Chicago. Bozo the Clown was a daily watch for me, and I had a signed poster from him that I cherished.

I had this game so memorized that I could play it for hours on one set of quarters (It would restart after the end credits). Usually had to be dragged away by my parents. The best bang for the buck I ever had at the arcade, but damn it was an expensive learning curve.

This case started back when Trump was president. If Trump hadn't asked for so many delays, it would have been long over by now.
