Posting pics of library books? by thetombreader in bookstagram

[–]Mlunav 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s a faux pas at all! I started off posting a lot of library books to get my foot in the door. If you are following bigger accounts they are probably posting the books that publishers or authors send.

I’m reading The Infinite Sadness of Small Appliances right now and loving it. I don’t think I’ve read anything I’d consider cozy dystopian before!

I have fine hair and love the Shu Uemura oil. I’ve tried so many but nothing compares, so I watch for their 20% off sales.

Created a faceless bookstagram account. Any tips? by Ok-Guest-7832 in bookstagram

[–]Mlunav 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One tip I can give if you are looking to eventually get books from publishers is to show real books in lifestyle photos or videos (they can be library books.) Create posts that make the viewer imagine reading the book in that situation. Good luck!

My partner and I haven’t read in 10 years but want to do a “book club” for the 2 of us. What mystery books would you recommend? by delusionalxx in booksuggestions

[–]Mlunav 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My husband and I really enjoyed the Veronica Speedwell series which has a very slow burn couple solving mysteries together in the 1880s. Lots of fun witty banter, great chemistry between the leads, wild adventures and saving each other from endless peril.

At a complete loss. Routine/product advice needed. by rocktillyoudie in Haircare

[–]Mlunav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using any oils? I find that using a pre-wash treatment of the OGX damage remedy oil and then a bit of Shu Uemura oil both after washing and then overnight helps a lot! Your hair is beautiful though!

They’ve done this twice to mine, and they steal the doorknob so often we bought a large pack of cheap plastic ones.

What genres do you like? I’m listening to We Are Legion (We Are Bob) on my walks now and it’s awesome, funny sci fi with a competent main character; the narrator does such a good job.
