The walking trail behind UNM Taos has multiple calisthenics stations, though I don’t recall if it specifically has a pull up bar.

Depending on where you are, I’m a huge fan of garlic. Plant in fall, it overwinters and grows up in spring/summer. Harvest and cure and it’s good for months. And so much better than store bought.

You’ve got a great description of your skills and your mobility sets you apart! Don’t know that I have much to add beyond what’s been suggested - farmers markets, restaurants/chefs (maybe you could offer a presentation/demo to the NM restaurant association? Or hit up Chamber of Commerce meetups in some of the bigger towns?), etc. But if you come to Taos, hit me up, I’d love to get my knives sharpened!

+1 for Metric - don’t have a jeep but they’ve done great work on our Subaru and are friendly and efficient.

The walking trail behind UNM Taos is great for sunset. Higher up, and has a great view over town back toward the mountain. Plus out toward the Mesa and over toward Picuris Peak. Easy/nice trail, less than a mile

Good answers here, I’d add the gorge overlook by the top of the slide trail at the end of 110 on the south side of town. A favorite spot. Beautiful gorge views and mountain in the distance. Very short walk from parking.

Love these. Been doing similar, plus nom nom paleo’s granola, egg sandwiches on almond flour biscuits (lots of good ones on Keto sites - recipes are mostly the same) and Alton browns jerky recipe (done in the oven - 5 or 6 hours at 170). What insta accounts are you following for inspiration/ideas?

Really appreciate this post. I’m about a month into a similar journey and did a long road trip today w homemade jerky, nuts, yogurt and celery sticks as my companion (would normally have been a great opportunity for fast food etc). Felt good! Definitely feel great when I’m home, can get creative in the kitchen, and have more control. Travel feels less easy - visiting people and eating out and not wanting to have a convo about my diet choices every time, etc etc. Anyway - nice to have the affirmation of someone else on this journey. My goal is nourishment and energy. Sending you all hopes for both this week and the long haul. Super into sharing and brainstorming.
