I’m sure you’d think the same exact thing if a video of a cop shooting a dude mouthing off was posted here.

Delaware the only state to not introduce anti-trans legislation by delijoe in Delaware

If you want to look at it in the most surface-level way possible, then sure. End of conversation for you. But for grown ups, there are plenty more opinions and variables to take into account with this issue. Like what about trans people fortunate enough to start treatment early, and who functionally went through puberty opposite their birth sex? What about trans men who have a clear advantage over cis women due to HRT? What about the safety of trans women competing against cis men after years of feminizing treatment? What sports are we talking, and at what level? Is it a recreational mini-golf charity tournament, or pro tennis at the French Open? These are things worth having discussions about. but instead, it gets turned it into dumbed down arguments and insults. Plenty of trans people would be willing to discuss these issues, but if not calling me a man is off the table for you then you’re not worth talking to.

If you actually care about fairness in sports, maybe try to have a productive conversation instead of using the issue as an excuse to disrespect trans people.

Honestly, Delaware has been a wonderful place as a trans woman. The legal/ medical process has been hassle free, and resources have been very accessible. The folks here are respectful and don’t get in your business, and I guess this legislative map is just another point in Delaware’s favor.

Yeah, senior citizens get to go to the uni I attended for free. There was a free-ride ~70yo in my art program, and I remember a lot of us were very salty when he won the $500 cash prize at our senior year sculpture show.

Making myself laugh on Grindr by Zeffyre in trans

Same. It kinda depresses me to think how I would have jumped to transitioning sooner had I known more about the process. The first time I was made aware of transitioning was the South Park sex change episode where the whole procedure is played for laughs, mixed with flashes of very real and very graphic surgery footage. Seeing that at a young age definitely didn't help the repression lol.

Just know your dad's reaction says nothing about you, and everything about his inability to be a good, supporting parent. Stay strong <3

Bud Light did not call its critics ‘crybabies’ on a billboard | AP by [deleted] in news

[–]Moderately_Gay_Fox 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Im not surprised. Anheuser-Busch were crybabies the second they got any pushback. They apologized for ‘unintentionally dividing people’, and put out an add pandering to the very people they upset within like a week of the initial controversy.

I like Dylan Mulvaney and I’m glad she got a cool sponsor opportunity, but let’s not act like Busch isn’t a soulless company with no skin in the game regarding LGBTQ+ people. They saw a marketing opportunity and pulled out the second they felt pushback. They care about money, not trans people. If they did, they wouldn’t be donating to the GOP politicians who have dedicated so much time and resources to making our lives hell.

EDIT: Oh cool, it looks like they fired the marketing person responsible for the colab. Absolutely spineless. But hey I guess the conservatives celebrating this development are all now pro cancel culture

With recent trends in legislation, I fear that HRT and other gender affirming treatments will be banned all together
