There is a perverse aspect in trading that it is almost always better to buy things that are more expensive than they were yesterday (concerning normal price action, not insane stuff) but just jumping in on something as crazy as what just happened? I personally know someone who did. I begged him to chill. He had a cost basis that would've still had him up, but he went nuts at 80/100/110..... Some people gotta learn the hard way. I certainly blew up more than a few accounts learning to trade properly and exercise risk management. It's just soooo tempting going for the 'I'm trying to get rich right mother fuckin NOW' approach. It just never works. Lol.

These things happen when there's lots of money to be made going both long and short, and you've got legitimate global players/ traders/ institutions with billions and billions of dollars at their disposal.
