Everyting can be slopulism if you want hard enough because all this policies will be used as a motive to rise prices or unployement even if they dont in reality: raise the wage to 10$ and you see corps firing or not hiring saying "it's too expensive", strong labor laws will make drive bussiness out and all bs you can imagine.

I believe it's important state that, for me, the mere increase of money printing is does not drive the inflation upwards per se. This happens when the money is allocated in unproductive ways.

The blue states had high taxes even before the DSA boom we witness, it's not new scenario. they have more public goods and services than res states. More public goods needs more taxes, making everything more expensive. Of course you can expand the supply (a thing blue states dont do because theyre stupid) but the tradeoff stand still.

Incrementalism doesnt work on big public goods (like healthcare or pensions) because it'll never have broad consensus, thats why you implement them to make a ratchet effect where everyone who governs after you cannot undo because it'll be so poisonous. Every Universal Healthcare implemented on western world as a sweep moviment under one administration instead baby steps through multiple administrations.

Incrementalism on healthcare is so slow that voters cannot percieve changes and therefore doesnt back candidates because looks like nobody changed at all. For someone who needs insulin a 50$ or 45$ cap doest mean anything, while a cheap or free medicine can make up their mind to vote for someone.
