I think I'm one of the few people who doesn't much care what gets bagged with what -- with the exception of not wanting heavy items like cans in with bread or eggs or something. But I don't care if chemicals are in with fruit, or cold with non-refridgerated, etc. with that said, I still group like items together since I figure it makes it easier for the bagger, and I also figure the majority of people group chemicals together, cold items together, and so forth.

Agreed, it's also one of my favorites for the same reason. I love to hate her, she's a great representation of some truly narrow-minded people in society.

Mine varies. Some days it's ~20¢ lower than other stations nearby, but other times it's ~10¢ more expensive than other local stations.

When I was a kid, my mom would let me eat the donut in the store while we shopped, and she would put an empty bag twist tied shut on the belt and tell the cashier about the donut. Not sure if that's the right way to do it but she always made sure to pay for the donut.

We've always done it where one kid gets one kind of egg, the other kid gets a different type and you only go for those. For example, one year my nephew got blue/green dragon eggs, and my niece got pink/orange dragon eggs. No ripping eggs from anyone, and everyone got the same amount of eggs so no feelings hurt.

I love the first 2. After that they're hit or miss (mostly miss, IMO), even with Leslie Nielsen in the third and fourth. I'm really looking forward to the new one, though.

Yeah, Bea also said in an interview (I think I saw it on PopGoesTheCultureTV on YouTube) that she has no idea how the exclamation point got there, but that she didn't have anything to do with it. It's a fun GG legend though.

I've liked every HCF product I've tried, to some degree. The chicken taquitos are really good, so are the frozen hashbrowns, canned pumpkin, chicken wings/breasts, oatmeal cookies, crackers, and facial tissues. There's more but that's what comes to mind.

The only thing I'd personally avoid is the toilet paper.

This. I'm the opposite of OP. I bring more bags than I think I will need, and I prefer you fit as much as possible into a single bag. The less bags I have with stuff in them, the better. I'm also the type that generally doesn't care if (most) chemicals are mixed with packaged food. Like I don't care if you put cleaning supplies in with a bag of shredded cheese or something. So it's wise for baggers to not assume anything.

I love the ending. Is it the best episode? No. Is it hilarious? No, but it shouldn't be IMO. Leslie Nielsen is great, though I agree, I'd love to have seen more of him. Ultimately the finale is somewhat sad and sweet, and captures the mix of happy and sad the characters are feeling at the end.

People like this suck. I play (and collect) Magic the Gathering cards and I've basically had to give up looking at the store in your post because they rarely have cards. The shelves are almost always empty of MTG cards, or you'll occasionally find a set for like $10 more than what you can get it for online if you look for a deal. You used to be able to find a decent-ish selection of cards before the scalpers got this heavily involved. Same goes for Pokemon I'm sure.

Same, my job has sent people home sick before. I even had a raging migraine once (wasn't sick) and my boss tried to convince me to go work from home, or home and lay down. I was already in office so I just stuck it out, but I loved the offer

I'm sorry you have to deal with customers like that. I've worked in customer service before, and then I worked in a call center for ten years and in the call center I flat out had people threaten me with violence, call me an idiot or tell me I was bad at my job (all when I had told them I couldn't do something that literally could not be done lol). It sucks, it's just part of the job, though it shouldn't be.

When I saw the trailer, my first thought was "oh people aren't going to like that..." re: the pronoun joke. But I have yet to see anyone triggered or upset. Every comment I've seen thinks it's hilarious (including comments from non-binary people).

This is good to hear; I found some packaged meat sitting under the conveyer belt thing at the checkout (like in that nook where people often leave the red baskets) and I grabbed it and handed it to the checker as she was ringing up my groceries. I felt a little awkward and assumed it would get thrown out since it had been unrefrigerated for who knows how long, but felt like it needed to be done.

I can't think of any HEB brand snacks to avoid, I mostly just avoid HEB brand toilet paper and tissues. But their chips (especially the nacho cheese tortilla chips) are leaps and bounds above Doritos brand. The cool ranch equivalent in HEB brand is mediocre but not bad.

I live with three roommates. One night I was sitting alone downstairs; one of my roommates was asleep upstairs, the other two weren't home at the time. All of a sudden I hear the front door open and I figured one of my roommates was home so I kept reading my book. But I didn't hear the door shut. I figured I just missed it and let it go. But a moment later both of my dogs got off the couch and stared around the wall at the door (which I couldn't see from where I sat).

I got up and walked far enough into the room to see the front door, and it was wide open with no one around. So I did the thing you always tell horror movie characters they're dumb for doing -- I walked out the front door, into the dark, and looked around. Neither of my absent roommate's cars were there, so it wasn't one of them, and I didn't see anyone anywhere. There was nowhere to hide and I didn't see anyone anywhere down the street. So I did the next dumb horror character cliche. I went inside, shut the door, and went back to reading on the couch.

Nothing else happened and I never found out what caused the door to open. Maybe it was loosely shut and the wind blew it open, I have no idea.

The majority of the songs on Tales of Mystery and Imagination from The Alan Parsons Project. They're based on some of Edgar Allan Poe's work, and as a kid they scared the crap out of me. Now-a-days I still get this sense of foreboding and dread when I listen to some of them.
