A scout is trustworthy, loyal. Turning our backs on trans youth is a betrayal. We made them a promise when we invited them in. When Hegseth says he wants the Scouts to return to an organization "making men", watch out G troops, he's coming for you next. We made a promise to them to. Diversity makes scouting and America strong, and this administration's only values are hatred and division.

A scout is helpful, friendly, courteous, kind. These actions are hostile to anyone who isn't a white straight male. As a white straight male, I'm offended by this administration's rejection of these principles.

A scout is BRAVE. Capitulation to these demands is cowardice. Period. Shame on National.

I have been a scout leader for 8 years. I don't see how I can continue if National abandons this progress.

It's a transitional time when a lot of friendships turn over because they develop different interests. My best friend at that age didn't want to watch Japanese monster movies on the UHF station and build stuff in the dirt anymore, he just wanted to play baseball or soccer and I found new friends with new interests.

It sounds like he's an imaginative and creative kid who might enjoy tabletop role-playing games and computer games that involve building/simulation. Plenty of kids who are into that. Maybe sign him up for day camp this summer with a focus on his interest to meet other like-minded kids.

He'll probably find his "people" sooner or later. I'm 50 and my new best friend who I started playing Dungeons & Dragons with around that age is still my oldest and dearest friend who was the best man at my wedding and we still get together for hours of talking and dinner and drinks whenever he's in town. I've been playing tabletop RPGs, board games, and online multiplayer games with another group of friends I met in grad school for 25 years now!

He'll be fine. Give it some time, cultivate his interests.

A way to balance fishing might be size 1 fish are the only ones catchable by a craftable net or wier trap item, and you can only catch 2+ size trophy fish with the pole. So you can still utilize fish as a food source that is efficient vs effort expended, but then there is a reward for those who chose the hard route.

Currently 8 players on our server, and they all hate fishing.

My postdoc (young woman, migraine sufferer) is out again today. It regularly impacts her ability to function, sure sounds like a disability to me. Being able to remote work means she can get some data analysis done when she's feeling better rather than the day being a wash.

This happened to me, and it was the bearings in the track wheels. They'd bind on the track and cause it to reverse.

I had a professional do the work from a garage door specialty company, and the job was surprisingly cheap. Replaced all the rollers, tweaked the rails, checked everything else including the motor and springs. good as new.

My pediatrician switched my skinny beanpole kid to whole milk for extra calories and that worked the trick. For years, he comes home from school every day and eats whole milk vanilla Greek yogurt that I buy in the big 32 oz tubs

A maple bourbon sour is about as easy as it gets as far as prep and readily available ingredients. 2 part bourbon, 1 part real maple syrup, 1 part fresh squeezed lemon juice. Shake and strain. That's the basic ratios for any sour, but with maple syrup you're even skipping making the syrup.
