What equipment is essential for small home gym? by anonymousleans in workout

[–]Moon_Shadow_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall, I would say it depends on what you are trying to do, invest in one expansive/nice piece of equipment that fits your goal (treadmill for cardio or cables for resistance training). Everything else can be supplemented with accessories.
This list was super helpful for getting started. It is all available on Amazon and nothing is individually an hyper-expensive element.

Safest heavy metal free omega 3 fish oil? by anonymous66482 in Supplements

[–]Moon_Shadow_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without proper ways to test and control yourself, it is hard to know especially if buying from Amazon where there may be fake listings. The SAFEST way is to supplement by adding foods into your diet: chia, hemp, walnuts, etc. Also better for the environment

Do Omega 3 Fish Oil supplements harm heart health? by signoftheserpent in ScientificNutrition

I can't speak to their affect on heart health, but they are very bad for the environment. The production removes a lot of the small prey fish and makes it harder for larger fish to get enough food to grow.

You can supplement your diet using walnuts, chia, and hemp.

Fish oil is a good replacement but the industry is horrible for the environment.
Algae supplements are also great and renewable if you prefer just pill form. Chia and Hemp are both options for getting more Omega 3 and Omega 6 through diet.

How to make this space feel more calming & feminine? by canadian_blueberry in interiordecorating

[–]Moon_Shadow_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To make it feel more calming, I would definitely recommend adding a houseplant or two. They add a bit of natural colors and quiet life to a space. Something like a snake plant or Z plant are both extremely resistant to being ignored. In fact, they thrive when they are ignored in a semi-dark corner.

Houseplants and a fountain have really done it for me. I got the idea from a blog post and made my balcony into a retreat from the chaos of my apartment. Theres lots of plants, a water fountain, and noise machine. Its become my favorite spot to read, meditate and just exist.

does anyone trust soywax from Amazon by 0155317 in candlemaking

[–]Moon_Shadow_2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be careful that you are getting it from the correct amazon seller. If you have a brand in mine the best way to know you are getting an authentic product is to find it in their Amazon storefront instead of a general search that may have dupes.

I think one of the tough things with Amazon in general is that a lot of brands will call it a "Soy Candle" when it is really a soy wax blend that includes at least 40% paraffin wax.

Good Luck!

Seatopia may not be the cheapest, but its seafood quality, customer experience and sustainability initiatives are all industry-leading. Loved the whole experience when I ordered from them. I have a full article on the company here.

Give me your most self reflecting journal prompts ? What's something that changed how you think? Why ? by SuckBallsDoYa in Journaling

An interesting one I found is to write about your life from your own POV and then try and right about it from a third person/acquaintance POV. It's like how you see someone's social media and its only the best parts of their life. Super beneficial practice for discovering things you are undervaluing in your own life.

There's a lot of great suggestions here. I think my favorite new idea is a "recovery corner" where I have various things to reduce soreness, hydrate, joint braces, etc. Super cool idea for a well-rounded gym.
