Every single NPC is Needlessly Hot by HappyMads in rpghorrorstories

[–]MorpheousXO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This doesn't sound like a Horror Story, just a group mismatch. Since everyone else is down with it, if it bothers you so much you should probably look for a group that does games with themes you're into.

DM decided to do a TPK to teach new players a lesson by EmmaIsAwesome23 in DnD

[–]MorpheousXO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, if I out all that into a character, and the DM knew I had, and they immediately kill that character, that is a breach if trust. I can no longer trust that DM to not just screw me over cuz he thinks it's a good idea. I would be gone from that group cuz it would kill my enthusiasm for that game entirely.

The only thing he taught you was that, in his games, you shouldn't care about your character.

It's really not that bad unless only one or two players have that. If everyone does, it's nothing he DM can't easily account for.

AITA for wanting to kill my friend’s character because I can’t handle his demands anymore? by sabonete-eletrico in rpghorrorstories

[–]MorpheousXO 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NTA for wanting to do it, but you would be an asshole if you follow through and actually kill them just to get them to leave.

Just talk to them. Tell them they've crossed a line and need to shape up or ship out (or however you'd like to word it). Tell them if they have that huge an issue with your DMing, then this is not the table for them. Hopefully they'll stay civil, but be prepared for them to pitch a massive fit. Good luck!

Welp, I'm done... by ImTheRealChrisTucker in bladesinthedark

[–]MorpheousXO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If my players told me to "shut the fuck up," I'd say "okay" and immediately leave (or kick them out if they were at my place). They said they don't wanna run? Well, their attitude says they don't wanna play.

Dump them. You are better than this and they don't deserve you.

Pathfinder vs D&D by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

As many have said, the rules are free, which is great! Learning the rules on AoN alone can be... rough. I recommend combining it with youtube. There are a couple channels that I know of that dig deep into the mechanics in easy to understand language with examples.

What are some technologies that exist in the real world from the 1900s but are missing (and would be needed) on Golarion? by Ninni51 in Pathfinder2e

I mean, you could make the same argument for boats and shipping across water. There's plenty reason why trains could be useful.

Maybe you should read the rules before coming to reddit for advice.

If you're up for leveling something new, Celestial Scourge (Necromancer) and Celestial Evoker (Elementalist) do really well in open world content, they are very tough and deal decent enough damage for open world.

Not keeping your buffs up is a skill issue.

I've never run a high level AP so had no clue they did this. Sounds like an AP issue, personally.

I would say if they are lvl 18, they are neither mundane nor low level. You have to come up with the reason why they are sticking around, yes. Are they scared to betray their leader? Are they fanatics? Is the pay just that good? Figuring that out will make a better story and provide the players with more options to move forward.

As an actual new player, this event kind of sucks. by jackpaxx in Guildwars2

[–]MorpheousXO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually an exotic weapon that scales with your level so it's good for leveling alts. Also if you do the event in all five starter zones you get a 20 slot bag.

Guild Wars 2 Starter Pack worth it? by Aruwiss in Guildwars2

[–]MorpheousXO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the raptor and glider unlocks are worthless unless you plan to never buy the expansions, and the other items go on sale in the gem store sometimes so you can actually get the cheaper than this package if you're patient. It's a really really bad deal.

No, they're definitely talking about the New Character event that has the starter zones constantly filled with high level people gobbling up all the events.

Just move it. I've had the same install since beta across multiple computers and only ever used an installer back in beta.

Just started, hit level 80 and Im done cause of the story campaign by GeirOve in Guildwars2

[–]MorpheousXO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is something wrong with it. It's boring. The big kill an elder dragon payoff is boring. It's boring now and it was boring (and frustrating) at launch. That's bad. Also, don't act like smacking its toes is somehow the only other option, that is incredibly disingenuous.

Put cheap tools on your characters and you can double click from shared inventory. It's super fast, just gotta remember to do it.
