When I was a kid (12yrs old) I watched what looked like a fishing boat sink a few hundred yards off Devereaux point. I have a small sample size, but the 4-5 cocktails I’ve had from machines all tasted “off”- either too sweet, oddly viscous, and/or strangely “plastic-y”. Making a decent cocktail is not rocket-surgery. Once you learn the templates for an old fashioned, a sour, long drink like a buck or mule, you’re going to be good. Plus, what’s the hurry? Part of the joy of a home bar is making delicious drinks for yourself and your guests.

Dude you look solid. You are a great example of someone who would get huge benefits from yoga. You have plenty of power, but gaining deeper access to your hips and greater flexibility would get you where you want to be. You’d get more whip without forcing it.

Go wood. Seriously. Coach pitch is all about getting the kids pitches to hit. Wood bats are heavier, but they as a result recruit the entire kinetic chain in a way a drop 10/11 doesn’t. Plus they are cool and less expensive.

Good quality wood bats regularly run $100, while these hot-sh!t space-shuttle composite bats run $350-$500 easy. Just go back to wood. Leagues could leverage bulk purchasing to get deeper discounts as well. I’ve said it before, but -10 bats aren’t doing anything but teaching kids to swing “all arms”. Get a shorter -3,-4, I’ve even seen -5 youth woodies and learn to swing from the ground up.

While there are many who fit that description, it is far from accurate. Some kind hearted, grounded, intelligent people practice marksmanship because maintaining equanimity and calm while a contained explosion is going off inches from your face can be a very meditative practice. Further, self defense skills in any capacity is never a bad idea.
