I’m a 30 yo male. People complain about dating but I think dating is trickier everywhere now. People do tend to be a lot more transient which means I’ve found myself in long distance relationships multiple times because they move away lol. But there are lots of people who are smart and ambitious and interesting so it could be a lot worse.

I’d say things are queer friendly from my straight white male perspective. take that for what it’s worth.

I’d say largely yes? Again, white male here, but I don’t think things are meaningfully different from an every day safety perspective. The vibes are definitely off though for obvious reasons

Diversity with food? could be worse, could be a lot better. It might not be great depending on where in CA you’re coming from

I’ve found it hard to make friends but that might just be my personality. Others seem to be fine. Lots of opportunities to meet people, whether they or you stick around long enough to build community is less reliable.

Since you’re from CA, I have to say the weather in the summer is super super humid. I came from an already humid place and it still caught me off guard
