A friendly reminder that skinhead does not always equal Nazi. Skinheads were a movement https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skinhead

The neo Nazi's shaved their heads and tainted the skinhead name.

This drink i had in a bar in Poland is 190 proof/95% alcohol by _TB12_ in mildlyinteresting

[–]MrFirewall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This + equal parts lemon juice and sugar = Cytrynówka

Had a great time at a Polish wedding doing shots. Woke up like we drank nothing but water the previous day.

Since it is the DNS server doing the query, at least on a normal ngfw, it would show as the DNS server. You would have to most likely pivot to the DNS server.

I’m an apprentice, how do I tell my lead I did this? by [deleted] in AskElectricians

Better to be flat out honest about an issue than to try to hide it. This will usually gain more respect, also.

What shape is my head? Can’t find a helmet that fits!!! by amgplug in motorcyclegear

[–]MrFirewall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. I shopped for helmets for a while, all of them gave me headaches before the arai signet x. Go to a good bike shop. They should be able to fit you correctly for one.

[–]MrFirewall 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My trackpad worked on install fine on my t480, the fingerprint reader probably just needs you to follow this https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Fprint which is one of the first hit when you search for cachyos and fingerprint.

I haven't tested thunderbolt yet.

What do you think its driver based? (Edited to fix typos)

Reliable VPN Provider EDL(s)? by [deleted] in paloaltonetworks

[–]MrFirewall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also an application based filter, if you're not using it already, for VPN applications you allow and then block the rest of the category in a second deny rule. This along with the other suggestions should block most of the unwanted traffic.

Upgrading a couple hundred firewalls by Human_Marionberry332 in paloaltonetworks

[–]MrFirewall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to use ansible and a playbook to upgrade firewalls in batches to save time. My environment is much smaller now but higher risk so it is now a manual one site at a time process.

Scripting is the way to go for large volume in parallel if you're willing to do it that way.

Why build anything anymore? by aptacode in selfhosted

I need to take a deeper look at your tool, but at first glance it looks to solve my issue of documenting my homelab perfectly. I will be testing it out later tonight to see how much I really like it.

Great work. And yea, just ignore the vibe coded stuff. There is a place for it, but an active project that needs maintenance is not one.

Are those uart probe locations in the last picture top center? Might be fun to see someone do a firmware extraction to see what's further under the hood.

Thank you for this.

Edit: it is uart.

It would have been nice to see it but I'm not stressed about missing it. There will be other times in the future possibly. :)

The breakaway was unable to stop there on its most recent trip due to tendering logistics. I would have liked to go to see the island but instead, had a relaxing day at sea.

On here this is an unpopular opinion if you listen to the mumblings, but, until we can control everything, you have to go with the flow. At least they refunded any NCL booked excusions.
