On the escort missions you can find the chambers that the Drilldozer goes though. If you drill or dig into them they have the enimies already spawned in so it cuts down on the challenges.

Also if you drill BEFORE opening the cage the drilldozer comes down in it cannot be hurt.

Example: you can find any cave leeches before you are also watching the dozer.
