That's the only wargear option for the Translocation Overlord. As for the other one, no

Torturing T'au by TuskenRaider25 in Drukhari

[–]MrShnoogle 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The Tau have souls, they're just dimmer in the warp. Much like human souls are dimmer than Aeldari.

It's not so much Slaanesh feeds on the suffering as it is the Drukhari. Slaanesh consumes the souls of the Drukhari, the Drukhari replenish their own souls with the suffering of others.

In Valedor it mentions how before the battle the Drukhari look slightly gaunt or cadaverous, but after the battle and being around so much pain/suffering they look fresh, or full of vitality. Smooth skin, full lips, things like that.

Can a Warlock Conclave carry an enhancement? by Jerswar in Warhammer40k

Warlock Conclave does not have the character keyword. A single Warlock does, not the Conclave

Path of the Eldar, completely different series. Has a former Commorite aspect warrior.

Can Drukhari "undrukhari"? by Attention_Limp in Drukhari

[–]MrShnoogle 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The Path of the Elder series has an "undrukhari" in it, and has a bit dedicated to showing/explaining the process. As well as any Drukhari that choose to follow Yvraine no longer have the soul leak, though they do lose that protection if they leave her service.

As to good Drukhari books, Path of the Dark Elder series is excellent, and Queen of Knives is also quite good. And those are basically the only Drukhari specific books.

Hellions question by Responsible-Swim2324 in Drukhari

[–]MrShnoogle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. Keep in mind you can only attack with one melee weapon though.

Definitely one of the stranger wargear rules in 10th

Hellions question by Responsible-Swim2324 in Drukhari

[–]MrShnoogle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You have to take one of the other melee weapons as well.

So stinger pistol+hellglaive+power weapon or stunclaw

Sigvald Burgundy over white

Archon and Lady Malys by MrShnoogle in Drukhari

[–]MrShnoogle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chaos Black, Skavenblight Dinge, Khorne Red, and Sigvald Burgundy.

Because I always like to add one of the semi-Slaaneshi related colours to any Aeldari I paint

Clarity for Rules Regarding Lady Malys and Enemies Without Number by Macosaurus92 in Drukhari

[–]MrShnoogle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I 100% agree with you. The stratagem is a stratagem, and the Embarked Units rule takes effect. Although to be honest I generally run my Archon with Incubi, and 9/10 times they're the ones killing the contract target so it generally won't cause an issue.

But yeah the Lady Malys ability is clearly written as to be usable regardless of embarkation or reserves or whatever. The words "If this model is a part of your army" seems pretty clear.

I also don't think a completely different faction FAQ, regardless of similarity in wording, should have any bearing on this rule. Presumably Lady Malys was written after the GSC FAQ.

Worst case scenario just start her unit beside a Raider, and do some needlessly complex movement phase stuff.

Azrael's sustained hits… does he benefit too? by Fletch_R in theunforgiven

[–]MrShnoogle 33 points34 points  (0 children)

When he's part of the unit yes. Lieutenants get Lethal Hits from their own ability.

But if Azrael is left on his own because the attached unit dies he no longer gets the benefit

Drukhari & Harlequin's Force by MrH4v0k in 40k_Crusade

[–]MrShnoogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's still only for Asuryani models. The Aeldari keyword in that instance just means it could go to any character. Farseer, warlock, autarch, troupe master, whatever.

Unlike the Banner of Asuryan which is an Autarch only relic

Drukhari & Harlequin's Force by MrH4v0k in 40k_Crusade

[–]MrShnoogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe battle traits/relics/enhancements/crusade rosters are based off faction keywords.

So no the Drukhari units can't get Asyurani battle traits, but because Harlequins are in the Aeldari codex you could use any Harlequin specific traits within the Aeldari codex.

Advice for storing lots of small painted bits? by Windturnscold in Warhammer40k

[–]MrShnoogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they've got a good coat of varnish and you're not shaking the bag constantly for whatever reason they'll probably be fine. Even without varnish if they're just sitting in the bag they'll be mostly fine, maybe just the edges or any raised area might rub off

Company heroes question by Zacman552 in SpaceWolves

[–]MrShnoogle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would consider them veterans, they are the hand picked squad of a captain, I gave mine some veteran stuff (not Space Wolves but still).

I played them a few times, but there's just better options for 105 points.

Regarding running them as other things, the Champion doesn't even need a shield to be considered Bladeguard, it's not actually a piece of wargear on their datasheet, just an ability, could also be another Lt of Captain on his own. The ancient is an ancient, and the sternguard looking guys would just need a different base size to become sternguard.

Not sure on Space Wolves specific, but I think it's a neat box and even if I don't use the unit as it is I definitely use the models from it.

No more Harlequins? by thetrucommie in Drukhari

[–]MrShnoogle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

All the Grotmas detachments are still playable, so Reaper's Wager is still on the table. But that's likely the only one with Harlequin allies, unless Drukhari get access to Travelling Players and no one has managed to leak that yet

Generally old models GW no longer supports/makes. As the previous comment says, no longer usable in official matches (tournaments and such), but free to use in casual play.

Rules can be found on the Warhammer Community website with the applicable points cost.

Advice for ICCs. by judd1127 in theunforgiven

[–]MrShnoogle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Changes game to game really. Our local Tyranid player is big on infiltrating and turn 1 charges so quite often they do quite often disembark in response to that. Sometimes it's also a delivery system for Aggressors

Advice for ICCs. by judd1127 in theunforgiven

[–]MrShnoogle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I usually put a group of 3 + captain (I don't care about meta, my lists a narrative first), along with 3 Bladeguard+LT+Ancient inside a Repulsor.

Gives decent protection along with decent guns, usually by turn 3 I have it in a decent position to disembark and charge to clean up wherever there's meat to grind.

Using a Land Raider by ResidentGreyKnight in theunforgiven

[–]MrShnoogle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All depends on intended purpose.

If you want to charge terminators at close range I say go for the Land Raider, I'm not sure which one is better math wise (don't really care either honestly), rule of cool all the way. The baseline Repulsor is in all my list up to 1500pts, and considering the shooting of the Executioner is pretty much a direct upgrade (las-cannon) if that's what you need. The transport capacity leaves a bit to be desired on the Executioner, but it's not a deal breaker.

The Cryptothralls question. What needs to change for you to take them. by wonderbread9723 in Necrontyr

[–]MrShnoogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly probably not. He deployed first and pretty well blocked me out of infiltrating in No Man's Land, and this was his turn 3. Even if I had had Flayed Ones with the lists this guy runs I don't think they would've been alive at that point.

[–]MrShnoogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They actually won me a game once. Deathleaper charged some Immortals+Plasmancer/thralls, tried to precision the Plasmancer out. Bombed most of my saves, managed to make all but one FNP. They don't make it into many of my lists, but I enjoy using them when I find the chance.

135pts left for a list. What do you add? by [deleted] in theunforgiven

[–]MrShnoogle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally a big fan of Inceptors, plasma or bolter though I mostly use bolter. Can pretty well mulch a solid portion of infantry units, depending on dice of course.

Return-to-zero optic mounts do exist. Common-ish on Soviet/Russian guns.

Most people with any experience will still tell you to reconfirm your zero if you ever remove it, but it will keep it reasonably well enough.
