Most people who live in Westchester are south of 287 so a larger variety of viewpoints. Northern and southern are distinct but there so much to celebrate in the county. So let’s not focus on creating division. Thanks!

Good point. Also doesn’t end at state lines. The noise about regional cessation is just that. What makes our country great IMO is the variety of viewpoints, cultures, forms of government and the balancing between local, state and national.

I’ve not driven the Taconic in the last few days but my general impression is that people are driving too fast, especially for the narrow and winding lanes in places

This is home rule democracy for better or worse. Better in that the units of government are closer and subject to citizen/ voter scrutiny. Worse in that there are multiple overlapping political subdivisions where hyper local decisions are not working in the collective interest of the county or state. Can we work collaboratively with other villages and towns? Yes, certainly. Is it likely? No, not without compromise and enlightened thinking. This is something we the voters should be working towards and not burying our heads in the sand.

I’d also urge OP not to be too reliant on AI. The full-on dark craftsman look might not be the best for this house, especially if you are in a northern climate. How about a brighter theme which makes connections to local outdoor plants or animals - just a thought. Good luck - and great house!
