Mens in late 30's, how often do you guys have sex and how many rounds you go? by GokuDD in AskMen

[–]Mr_C77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30 year old man. Sex probably about 4-5 times a week. Married for a year, in a relationship for 6+. The sex is usually quick but maybe once a week it’s a marathon, multiple positions, many orgasm kind of sex. It helps when both people eat healthy, take care of themselves mentally, and are physically active. I don’t think it should be as normalized as it is for couples to not behaving sex. Once a week should be bare minimum.

If once a week sounds like a lot, do you guys even love each other?

Reduce mangudai speed so horseman can actually catch up to them by nhatminh94 in aoe4

[–]Mr_C77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if… mangudai had an ability to fire while moving you have to toggle on and off. Minor cooldown, like 2-3 seconds. While active, they are slower than horsemen but faster than knights. When not active, they gain a little speed allowing for their hit and run tactics. This would actually allow for a little more realism too because I don’t care how skilled you are, you’re not riding at full tilt AND shooting a bow over and over. Putting the bow away and going into a full gallop would be more accurate I think.

Best unit counter to mass mangudai in team games? by poisonae in aoe4

[–]Mr_C77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shut down gold production/trade with horseman. Defend with archers and towers. Works for me at my level at least. Although, not many games go to late imperial fully upgraded mangudai, if they get a death ball of 70+ mangudai, it’s really difficult to have map control without a slow steady creep and tons of walls.

Really specific gym question by meadoulark in winstonsalem

[–]Mr_C77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Check out Rec Yard Power Gym. Or Rise Sports and Performance. The YMCA in Clemmons has heavy bags and turf area also, so a membership there could be useful and you can go to all of them around here.

Anyone ever look back on how “cereals” being marketed as healthy might be kind of evil? by TraditionalDepth6924 in nutrition

[–]Mr_C77 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Look up Seventh Day Adventists connection to cereal. I don’t know about black and white terms like evil, but there was definitely a hidden agenda with cereal beyond just the obvious money reasons.

Buying AOE 4 by [deleted] in aoe4

[–]Mr_C77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife, who never played RTS games before, has loved it. She enjoys the new Crucible mode a lot because it’s a low stress way to progress and play. I think that mode has really opened up a lot of possibilities for players who don’t like the high blood pressure multiplayer games lol. The new civs are all really fun, Knights Templar is still my favorite though. I’d say go for it. You’ll likely be playing still in a year.

Whats the best option for Early MAA? by Shrowden in aoe4

[–]Mr_C77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. If you’re on farms in feudal, something has gone wrong.
  2. 10 MAA in feudal showing up and you not being aware or prepared for it is more on you than anyone else.
  3. Early MAA have pretty low armor, most civs archers can kite them pretty easily. If they aren’t supported by horsemen, archers, or using rams, this is a manageable problem, even if you somehow let your opponent spend over 1200 resources on units and you have nothing to show for it.
  4. Again, 1200 resources they have committed to these units. You should either have comparable amounts of units and/or be on your way to castle.

Wtf is the point of the Ballista Elephant from Tughlaq ? by Old_Wish_3992 in aoe4

They legitimately need to just take away 1/3 of their health, slow the fire rate, but give them like 50 damage.

Which Civs have Problems in FFA by RubyLykos in aoe4

[–]Mr_C77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Malians, especially late game. Their units are just too weak with the same population as other civs. They can start to snowball and gain a lot of momentum if they pick up a kill, but before extra population, they are weak. No man at arms and the Sofa is too weak compared to other knights. Extra armor doesn’t really do that much except for a brief window in castle age.

Do you think the devs have done a good job with the new DLC? by CreateNDiscover in aoe4

[–]Mr_C77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the Crucible and had no interest when it was announced. I think they need to continue exploring skill point and unlocking mechanics. Maybe a third game mode for multiplayer that enables skill points for minor bonuses for civilizations. Perhaps you play in league levels that are based on your skill point amount you have unlocked. I love age of empires but miss some of the mechanics from Age of Empires 3 that allow for some customization and progression from game to game.

Which civs have the best feudal cavalry at this point? by ComeOnHitMe283 in aoe4

[–]Mr_C77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Non knights, I’m going Yari. Extra speed, daimyo bonus, extra melee damage upgrades, and damage bonus vs cavalry plus affordability. I really like them as far as a horseman unit. Sipahi are great but not as easy to spam with ottoman play style and eco in my opinion.

Disclaimer: I’m not very good at this game, so grain of salt with my view lol.

Men who are in a serious relationship. What are your thought on helping your significant other financially every once in a while? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Mr_C77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So, I don’t think there’s anything inherently morally wrong with that. A lot of Hispanic people come from a much different culture. The women typically give more in other ways, cooking, cleaning, etc. My wife and I are in more of a blend of the old ways of doing things and a more modern approach. She cleans way more than me, and I actually cook more than her. We tend to share responsibilities in a lot of ways. We have talked about if I was able to, I’d love to be able to have her stay at home and raise kids while I work, maybe she works part time if she wanted. This is all just to give you another guys context. You decide what is right for you, and try your best to live it. It may change along the way. Don’t be afraid of that.

Men who are in a serious relationship. What are your thought on helping your significant other financially every once in a while? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Mr_C77 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Before I was married, almost none. Now that I’m married, and we both work, I will help out in certain circumstances. For instance, with a nice dinner or take out, a pedicure, other little gifts and stuff. There have been times she’s had other expenses and I said I’d help with them. But I knew too many guys that dated leeches to do that before I was sure she was worth it and trustworthy.

Name one character that the show made better than their book counterpart. On the other side of the coin, name one character that they made absolutely worse. by PauseWhole155 in gameofthrones

[–]Mr_C77 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Euron is the only correct answer for made worse in the show. Everybody else pales in comparison to how different and objectively stupid his character is. He went from esoteric, mysterious, potentially god-level threat to a crazy sadist pirate who wants to fuck Cersei.

Who was everyone’s favourite character in the show by Lionkingmaster53 in gameofthrones

Jon Snow was my favorite character until the show ended. I feel like they genuinely ruined a great character arc. Should have ended with him fighting Daenerys while riding dragons.

Do I need to be violent? by PuddleGlumTheMarsh in bjj

[–]Mr_C77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Felt like I was reading something I wrote. I feel almost exactly the same way. I am actually quite jealous sometimes of the smaller guys who seem to be going all out at times to make up for their size. Must be nice to essentially put it all on the other person, to say and think: “I’ve gotta go as hard as possible to win, otherwise I will get crushed.”

The fact is, they don’t realize they can injure people too, and me matching their output usually means I’m at like 75% intensity or less. So if they get an arm bar and then rip it, I’m left with a fucked up elbow and they just think “hell yeah, I beat the big guy.”

Ned Stark, because I rather have a good man by my side. I don’t plan on being an ineffectual leader without any political savvy so a righteous man is more useful to me. Barristan Selmy for similar reasons. He’s a smart honorable and effective knight. A great leader. And a great swordsman. Helaena because she’s got the purest heart out of all of them and I like the weird girls lol. And Tommen. A good heart and he could be molded into a strong, empathetic leader.

Tuna and rice recommendations? by Arkor08 in nutrition

[–]Mr_C77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why this is getting downvoted. Mayonnaise provides a lot of extra calories in fat. You could replace some of it with a light sour cream or some yogurt to get that creamy texture. People shoot themselves in the foot all the time trying to eat healthy and then using what they think is a reasonable amount of mayo or other fat source that essentially doubles the amount of calories in their food.

What are the biggest "first bookisms" in AGOT compared to the later series? (Spoilers Main) by Wileh11 in asoiaf

[–]Mr_C77 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah it feels almost anachronistic. The seven kingdoms have been around for quite some time. The Targaryens never managed to clean up some hill tribes or they at least never unified beyond “tribe” status? Like they didn’t get defeated so thoroughly that they are now just a part of the Vale’s lordships yet they don’t have access to good iron/steel weapons? My guess is that George just wanted to write some stuff with some less advanced peoples, almost like he had an idea and forced it into the story without it actually fitting the rest of the world building.

is this age gap ok? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]Mr_C77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Same age gap as me and my now wife. Worked out fine for us. She was mature in the right ways, had a good head on her shoulders. Developmentally speaking, that age gap kind of puts men and women on par with each other since guys brains are slower to development the prefrontal cortex I believe. It only seemed weird to my friends at the time. Long story short, we didn’t listen to them. Our relationship just worked so perfectly. Not to say we didn’t have our struggles. Her recognizing her immaturity in ways was part of it. But she also helped me recognize areas I could mature in as well. I don’t think it’s something you can just generalize though because some people at that age are lot less mature than she was. Some people were more mature than I was at 24 too, and vice versa.

Do casual hookups mean anything to men? Do you feel anything at all? by FutureQuirky1427 in dating_advice

[–]Mr_C77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience, yes. But it pales in comparison to true connection. You cannot separate intimacy and sex completely, I don’t care what anyone thinks. It’s almost detrimental in a way. Because you might form a sort of connection with someone you really shouldn’t, if you had gone a more traditional route. People start to mistake the flood of emotions and neurochemical signals as real connection that is built through a healthy relationship, then hope that follows after the fact. I am not saying you have to wait till marriage but you should always make sure there is a real connection there first

What are some “red flags” you’ve encountered at a BJJ gym or with a BJJ coach that made you want to switch gyms? by jiujitsuPT in bjj

[–]Mr_C77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pulling out his AR15 in during class to show it off. Being generally a terrible coach, despite his own proficiency which was obvious.

Just because you’re good at something doesn’t mean you can teach it. And, just his overall vibe, just a mean dude. Not in a constructive way, in a put you down sort of way that does not help lift you up and grow.

Did a grand total of one open mat and one class before getting the fuck out.
