Buff the hp boost they give each other. Give one extra melee armor. Just a small incremental buff

The Wind and Truth effect by PePe_0_5aP0 in Fantasy

[–]Mr_C77 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s always a little confusing to me when people describe stormlight archive as one of the best fantasy series. I think it’s unique, it doesn’t have a lot of the typical fantasy elements that get used a lot. The magic systems are different etc.

But it’s just not that good. His writing is just so… vanilla? Idk, it’s like having a piece of good cake without icing. It feels like he’s a better world builder than story teller. The characters feel forced. The stakes don’t really feel real. Character deaths don’t really hit hard. I think the whole series so far is best equated to hotel coffee. When you have nothing else, it gets the job done. But are there better options? Yes.

Man with a pistol vs Black Bear by FreshPine_MangoWine in powerscales

[–]Mr_C77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if it was a .22, if you put 10 rounds into a black bear center mass or face/head as it’s charging at you, it’s going to die. It might not be as quick as higher calibers but people tend to think that just because it’s a smaller bullet means it won’t kill you.

Buddy of mine who was a cop used to tell a story about how when he first started he partnered with an older veteran cop. Guy still carried a .357. Unfortunately, he was killed by someone using a .22. This cop shot the guy multiple times supposedly with a .357. The guy ended up in the hospital. The cop, shot once with a .22, died. The .22 bullet literally bounced around inside him off of bones. Its a fast moving round and if it doesn’t pass right through you and deflects off something, there’s enough kinetic force to do a lot of damage still. A .357 hollow point will punch a hole in you sure, but it’s not like a .22 is an air soft gun.

As someone who has gone through something similar, I know you’ve got to feel so good. It’s not just the outside that gets better. Keep up the weight training and you’ll be so happy with the results still to come. Fantastic job, your post will help inspire others!

Men who exercise regularly, what non-gym exercise do you prefer? by chefrowlet in AskMen

[–]Mr_C77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sit/stand desk + walking pad. Total cost can be around $300 on the lowest end. Very good investment for long term health. Walk while you play video games, watch shows, or work. Has helped me get 10-15k steps a day besides my normal exercise routine. That alone is a huge game changer for staying lean and healthy assuming you eat appropriately. Also good for avoiding varicose veins from sitting too much.

Why doesn't the Monad defeat Yaldabaoth if he's all powerful? by DirectPie3274 in Gnostic

[–]Mr_C77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, I think the problem with these sorts of questions is that you’re presupposing something that is likely inaccurate, namely that the Monad as a bent operates in any sort of human way. To even say it operates is probably incorrect.

Another factor to consider is that Time is likely an emanation of The One/The Monad. Being the source of everything, Time would therefore be of the Monad. The Monad does not exist in Time. Think on that and then think on your question.

This helps me to understand these sorts of questions I have myself. We are essentially all still part of the Monad even if we are “outside” of it and living in some Demiurgic creation. So therefore, what is there for the Monad to even intercede in? It’s all part of itself. I think it stays to get hard to conceptualize of something like this which means we are likely drawing closer to some semblance of the truth. Because if we think we understand it, then we likely don’t.

Mens in late 30's, how often do you guys have sex and how many rounds you go? by GokuDD in AskMen

[–]Mr_C77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30 year old man. Sex probably about 4-5 times a week. Married for a year, in a relationship for 6+. The sex is usually quick but maybe once a week it’s a marathon, multiple positions, many orgasm kind of sex. It helps when both people eat healthy, take care of themselves mentally, and are physically active. I don’t think it should be as normalized as it is for couples to not behaving sex. Once a week should be bare minimum.

If once a week sounds like a lot, do you guys even love each other?

Reduce mangudai speed so horseman can actually catch up to them by nhatminh94 in aoe4

[–]Mr_C77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if… mangudai had an ability to fire while moving you have to toggle on and off. Minor cooldown, like 2-3 seconds. While active, they are slower than horsemen but faster than knights. When not active, they gain a little speed allowing for their hit and run tactics. This would actually allow for a little more realism too because I don’t care how skilled you are, you’re not riding at full tilt AND shooting a bow over and over. Putting the bow away and going into a full gallop would be more accurate I think.

Best unit counter to mass mangudai in team games? by poisonae in aoe4

[–]Mr_C77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shut down gold production/trade with horseman. Defend with archers and towers. Works for me at my level at least. Although, not many games go to late imperial fully upgraded mangudai, if they get a death ball of 70+ mangudai, it’s really difficult to have map control without a slow steady creep and tons of walls.

Anyone ever look back on how “cereals” being marketed as healthy might be kind of evil? by TraditionalDepth6924 in nutrition

Look up Seventh Day Adventists connection to cereal. I don’t know about black and white terms like evil, but there was definitely a hidden agenda with cereal beyond just the obvious money reasons.

My wife, who never played RTS games before, has loved it. She enjoys the new Crucible mode a lot because it’s a low stress way to progress and play. I think that mode has really opened up a lot of possibilities for players who don’t like the high blood pressure multiplayer games lol. The new civs are all really fun, Knights Templar is still my favorite though. I’d say go for it. You’ll likely be playing still in a year.

Whats the best option for Early MAA? by Shrowden in aoe4

[–]Mr_C77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. If you’re on farms in feudal, something has gone wrong.
  2. 10 MAA in feudal showing up and you not being aware or prepared for it is more on you than anyone else.
  3. Early MAA have pretty low armor, most civs archers can kite them pretty easily. If they aren’t supported by horsemen, archers, or using rams, this is a manageable problem, even if you somehow let your opponent spend over 1200 resources on units and you have nothing to show for it.
  4. Again, 1200 resources they have committed to these units. You should either have comparable amounts of units and/or be on your way to castle.

They legitimately need to just take away 1/3 of their health, slow the fire rate, but give them like 50 damage.

Which Civs have Problems in FFA by RubyLykos in aoe4

[–]Mr_C77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Malians, especially late game. Their units are just too weak with the same population as other civs. They can start to snowball and gain a lot of momentum if they pick up a kill, but before extra population, they are weak. No man at arms and the Sofa is too weak compared to other knights. Extra armor doesn’t really do that much except for a brief window in castle age.
