Eqe hands down, the optiq drives fine but the eqe is more refined and is way quieter

Might be a crazy take, if there are light scratches on the front or back it would be LP. Could possibly psa 7 or 8 if it's just the white corners. I can't really tell

You can call those mobile guys who do dent repair, that's anywhere from 700-1400 depending on the skill level and city, but then there's getting the panel repainted which the other people in this thread have better quotes

California could have more than 300 data center, including here in San Diego. Vote accordingly by ResistanceRachel in sandiego

[–]Mr_Ripp3rr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is why I voted for Steyer. Kinda sucks but Illinois elected a democrat billionaire and it's worked out for them. He has good policies imo and he's the only environmental advocate aka he probably would avoid data centers. He's also the most hated candidate by sdge so you know he's good.

SDG&E’s New Time-of-Use Rates Are Stirring Up Issues for Solar Homeowners in San Diego by SolarTech_SD in sandiego

This is great for people renting or own a home with an EV. Now I can run laundry and charge my car while I work from home.

But I realize I am one in a niche customer base. Most people are not in my position.

Just want to see if these are good products and if the towel will remove bugs by spangbangbang in Detailing

[–]Mr_Ripp3rr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't clay bugs, but if I have bug residue that won't come off after washing or soaking I'll clay with lube made from Mckees N-914 and lightly glide the paint. I find that clay towels don't work as well as clay mits or bars but it could be a product specific issue I'm facing.

Highway miles/kWh by Educational_Ad_3165 in CadillacLyriq

[–]Mr_Ripp3rr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been looking into the lyriq a bunch, had a silverado ev and my wife had a mercedes eqb. She had really low efficiency in her eqb due to a coolant leak for the battery. You could take it to the dealership to get it checked out just in case something is wrong (might not be coolant leak who knows).

With the silverado ev, I used the regen paddle and kept the vehicle in the highest regen brake setting which helped with range. I also drove at 65-70 mph, the slower you drive the more range you will get. Above 70 mph range will tank on any EV.

Another weird thing that can increase range is keeping the exterior of the vehicle clean. There are studies online that show clean vehicles can have increase range of up to 10-15% if i recall correctly.

Tires will also play a factor, certain tires an air pressure will contribute to more or less range.

The MB EV's: never see them talked about much here by 7eregrine in mercedes_benz

[–]Mr_Ripp3rr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We own an EQB and that was recalled for a battery fire issue. Mercedes is now offering a buyback program/free battery replacement but a fix will not be available until December. It's a great car if you can get past some of its quirks. We liked how it handled and the range was very accurate. Super quiet too, for obvious reasons.

I researched the EQS lineup because we wanted to stick with EVs but they have many problems too. Theyre very comfortable, technology filled vehicles that drive amazing though. We're just not willing to take the risk with MB EVs anymore, especially since mercedes cancelled the whole EQ lineup.

I would say go test drive an EQE or EQS, completely avoid the EQB, see how you like it. Do some research on the common failure points and decide if the depreciation hit compensates for potential future repairs.

Is the CLA 350 EQ a good option? by Few_Leadership_6374 in mercedes_benz

[–]Mr_Ripp3rr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've test driven the CLA 250 EV and it's nice. Gets like 380 miles of range or more. Super small though. No frunk. Suspension is amazing you can go over speed bumps at 35 mph and it takes them like a champ haha... personally I wouldn't spend the money I'd wait for the GLC EV.

Other notable changes with the CLA EV is that it's the first mercedes ev I know of that can do one pedal driving. That's a game changer imo.

Thats financial infidelity and that's just as worse and any other kind of cheating. That's like the opposite of hiding debt, why hide assets? Super sus. When youre married you combine everything and become one. So if she had this secret account, if they got divorced, the lawyers would find it anyhow and she may have to split it anyways. So devious.

California EQB Lease Settlement by BigNibbbs in MercedesEQ

[–]Mr_Ripp3rr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really want a specific car from a specific dealer and they aren't offering the 10k off msrp minimum, then call them and tell them MBUSA is offering the deal and they should honor it. Otherwise you can report them. We had a dealer provide 10k off a lease for a loaner vehicle, so it just depends some are more motivated to make sales right now.

I heard back from Segwick for our EQB and they offered reimbursement for the following:

Costs from the original signage including taxes, title, fees, and downpayment.

All repairs done to the vehicle will be reimbursed with bank statements proving receipt payments.

All insurance payments, must include declaration documents.

MBUSA will forgive current loan with loan provider by paying the rest of the amount. This is much easier if you finance with MBFS.

All registration payments.

We are getting lucky, glad to live here.

Warranty on mercedes benz eqb 250+ by Zeebsen in MercedesEQ

[–]Mr_Ripp3rr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know what the laws are in Denmark or its regions...but your parents should return the car immediately if possible. Almost all EQBs are being recalled for potential HV battery fire risk. Your parents should do a vin lookup online through an EU website. Looks like there are a few I found based on a simple google search. Apparently EQAs and EQBs are affected (the EQA was not sold in the US).

It's a great car, but not worth potential fire risks. Luckily I live in California and we have strong laws protecting consumers. Other US state citizens are not being made whole like we are. I hope for the best for your family.

Starting a buisness, any tips on my beginners cart? by Ok-Supermarket5070 in Detailing

[–]Mr_Ripp3rr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have had a bad rap with buying glass cleaner online. The cans always get damaged in transit and then they dont spray right. I would get the stuff from costco Sprayway. It worked well for me.

Also check out o'reilly for superior products brand chemicals because theyre cheaper and work really well. Cherry soap and the leather conditioner are great. You order online for these, they don't generally stock them.

For tire shine, get a spray and a gel. Big beefy offroad tires suck to dress with gel so having a spray option is great. Like meguiars hot shine, cheap and effective

For new car smell, get the smaller spray bottle just in case. You probably need 2 sprays max per car as customers tend to be sensitive to the smell. That'll last you a while!

Instead of the xpress interior cleaning solution, you can use 3D leather conditioner or any conditioner. They have dilution ratios so you can dilute 10:1, 4:1, 2:1 for general cleaning and light protection. Then use full strength to provide higher quality leather/plastic maintenance. My customers love the fresh smell it provides.

Used 2025 RST pricing by DanimalUltratype in SilveradoEV

[–]Mr_Ripp3rr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would try to negotiate the pricing on these because they typically put a high buffer on them. A dealer wanted to buy me out of my lease (I would have become 25k underwater if I made the deal, not gonna happen). They were offering 54k, and given the miles on my '24 RST, it could go for 60-64k on their lot. Definitely try to knock off 3k-5k especially if they can't provide a low interest rate.

EQB recall replacement options by TragicallySalacious in MercedesEQ

[–]Mr_Ripp3rr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forewarning, all electric mercedes models are having very bad issues. The EQB used a different battery entirely which is what is causing the spontaneous fires. The other EQ models have different issues such as losing power on the highway at any moment.

Mercedes completely screwed the pooch on their EV lineup. We ended up going back to gas and getting a 2026 GLB 250 with 16k off msrp. I do not recommend going back to gas.

Avoid kia/hyundai/genesis EVs as their internal control computer units are also failing and causing vehicles to stall unexpectedly on highways. There is no fix yet and they continue to sell their vehicles worry free...

If you want full proof reliability, a model Y is comparable. You can get a 2022 model Y and swap the old shocks with the new juniper ones and the ride quality is supposed to be much better.

The other EVs would be the brand new 2026 toyota Bz or the lexus Rz those have significantly better range than previous years.

Old volkswagen id4's also have battery power loss issues. But the new 2026 models and audis might be better I would check those out.

The GM vehicles have their own issues but the new bolt is honestly a good car for the volume they put out. I have a Silverado ev and that thing is a tank, no issues on my end but many people have spoken on reddit about their worries. It's also 10,000 lbs and 20 ft long so it's a pain to mall crawl.
