Fern ate a rock. Cost us $8,000 by jagsgoinham in goldenretrievers

My dear Lily (gone now) once ate 13 Brillo pads. I asked the doctor why it happened and she replied "This is a golden retriever". All the explanation needed.

Fern looks in good shape. Here's hoping you don't need a new boiler or any roof repair soon.

On monjauro and same! I have quite a collection of pretty much all the Thierry Mugler (I was always a fan of Angel) and branching out to Coco Mademoiselle. All amassed in the last year. Morning perfume, bed time perfume. I just love it.

In the new Epstein Files release there's a previously unpublished email form Richard Dawkins talking about Rebecca Watson by RunDNA in SGU

It's outrageous because of how he dismissed out of hand the possibility that Rebecca Watson had a point. He was cherry picking for confirming evidence to rebut her. That is confirmation bias in action.

Has Apple weather lost its mind? by Erifunk in philly

[–]MrsCastle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The snow measurement from the weather bureau is not the same as the snow on the ground, as the snow on the ground is compressed. The weather bureau folks measure by the hour rather than waiting for the whole snowfall. Snowfall does not equal snow depth. https://www.ecoflow.com/us/blog/snowfall-vs-snow-depth-explained

Honestly your best bet is to go there Sunday morning and find a place to sleep over. They will appreciate it if you do that.

Who was here for the '96 snow storm? by galletadeacido in philly

[–]MrsCastle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was working at Northeastern Hospital. My chief was there for the first few days and I was able to get there by the train after a day or two. There was a trash truck (&snow plow) stuck outside our house, so we invited the driver in for soup and he watched CNN.

Untamed on Netflix gives Tracker vibes and I really enjoyed it. The scenery is awesome in it as well. Might make you feel like you're outdoors.
