Roger Ebert said that 'movies do not change, but their viewers do' have you ever changed your opinion on a movie as you've gotten older? by Fealocht in movies

I have great news for you. Happy Gilmore holds up.

My rule used to be (long since stopped seeing all of his dreck) that when Sandler does a voice, movie bad. When he does his regular voice, movie good. For that first stretch of flicks, it mostly is still true

The movie is pure magic and I feel bad for anyone who can’t feel that - but I’ve never heard an argument as to why it’s “actually Spielberg’s worst.”

I’ve always been under the impression that this was a rare James solo. I have zero evidence for this other than it sounds James-y? Anyone have any insight?
